In the current regional situation, I’ve received a few messages asking if we are safe in #Kuwait.

I truly appreciate the concern.

What I’ve experienced here so far is calm.
Life is moving. People are going to work. Shops are open.

There’s a quiet sense of steadiness.

May Allah protect Kuwait and everyone in the region.

Hoping for safety and ease for all.

Three days ago, I shared a short post about staying calm during the current regional tension.

Later that day, a founder sent me a message.

He asked something simple.
“What should leaders post during times like this? Should they even post or stay quiet?”

It’s a fair question.

Because posting the wrong thing can feel worse than saying nothing.

And saying nothing can make it look like you’re not paying attention.

After working with more than 20 founders and senior leaders in the Middle East, I’ve noticed something else.

Too much “personal branding” can quietly damage trust.

Not because you’re doing something wrong.

But because most personal branding advice was written for a different kind of audience.

And a different region.

In many places, attention builds authority.
But in the Middle East, credibility usually comes first.

So when leaders follow the usual playbook —
more posts
more visibility
more personal stories
something starts to feel… off.

Not loud.

Just slightly misaligned.

You don’t want to look like a LinkedIn creator.
You want to look like a serious leader.

Wicked Broz

Wicked Broz is a street art and graffiti company I helped create with Omkar Dhareshwar back in 2014. It is my effort to take up a cause close to my heart and make it part of our culture. 

I am trying to lead the organization to not just establish itself in the digital sphere of the street art scene but to actually lead from the frontlines through production assistance and brand collaborations. I have been blessed with working with some of the top talents from all over the world on projects for HCL Foundation, Jabalpur Street Art festival, Indore Smart City, Manchester City Football Club, NBA, One Plus, Puma, Camlin, Pidilite and more.

Probably our deepest impact is on Marol in Andheri East where we have managed to win the support of the local residents association in spreading street art. They helped us create the 1st Indian street art festival for women in March 2019. Today, Marol Art Village has one of the highest concentrations of street art pieces from global artists and has been covered by Red Bull in their award winning documentary ‘In My Hood’ along with being featured in the top 62 off beat places to visit in India by Nat Geo Traveller Magazine.

The star of the Indian street art scene is rising and Wicked Broz are helping it along the way in every way possible. Trying to change the world, one wall at a time.

I am a digital marketing trainer with Digital Vidya. 

This means that I teach batches of industry professionals and entrepreneurs the fundamentals of social media platforms including the basics of content creation and Facebook Ads.

I have trained over 10,000 participants in the last 7 years.

Here, I also have the opportunity of working with various corporate programs for Facebook as a master trainer. Some of the prestigious assignments have been with Niti Ayog, Ministry of Rural Development (Saras Mela 2019) and the Indian armed forces, Bihar Rural Livelihood Mission and the SMB Ads program. 

I also led the initiative by the Facebook social good team to train and onboard over 1000 blood banks across 10 states on the Facebook Blood Bank tool.

My most proud achievement was designing the CSC Academy program where over 5000 village level entrepeneurs were trained across India enhancing their marketing skills. 

Digital Vidya  has also provided me with a platform to create digital marketing training content for Google, Rajasthan Royals, BCG and engage teams at  Iskcon, FICCI, MegaWeCare, Hindware, Angel Broking, KPMG and Ministry of Tribal affairs and help them tackle digital marketing challenges.

At Next Door Digital, I helped setup the Indian operations of the Dutch based company. Working here provided me a unique insight on European and other foreign markets.

In my role here, I have assisted on digital campaigns of brands like Wildwind, Healthy Options, The Dutch Dairy Foundation (NZO), Tata DoCoMo and The Gems and Jewellery Federation of India.

A typical day at the startup involved playing PPC specialist, social media manager, junior designer, content writer, email marketeer, client servicing guy and accountant. If luck had it then once in a while even a summer time photographer at a holiday resort in Greece. 

What Next Door Digital aims to create is an ecosystem of web services that would serve large and medium enterprises who are looking for top quality online marketing experts or as we liked to call ourselves, web performance architects.

I have one year of work experience with JustSwipe, formerly Swipe Telecom in 2014 where I began my career trying to sell cheap Android Tablet Pcs and mobile phones online. I learnt a lot from Swipe including what to do and what not to do in the profession. 

My key responsibilities were:
- Devise the entire digital media strategy 
- Create accounts on Hootsuite, MailChimp and Webmaster console from scratch. 
- Social Media Management including publishing, monitoring and creating monthly contests.
- Running paid Facebook advertisements 
- Optimized website as per onsite SEO and design best practices

Left Swipe with experience in managing 360 digital campaigns for product launches. It was also instrumental in my next step in preparing me for my next step which was to manage global clients.

For a brief period of 4 months I was incharge for digital marketing of the startup. 

Vollet was one of the country's first loyalty management apps in the restaurant and hotel sector. 

While at Vollet, I helped the team prepare for various B-plan competitions. We secured 3rd prize at IIM Shillong, 2nd prize at College of Engineering Pune and 2nd prize at Symbiosis Institute of Telecom management. 

I also helped design course material and taught digital marketing for a team of 20 interns.

Helped found one of India's first exclusive Tablet PC blogs. 

Was responsible for Content writing in the form of Tablet Reviews and News, marketing of blog on digital media through Facebook, YouTube, creating Google Analytics reporting of traffic trends. 

We were ranked among the top 25,000 websites in India and had an average monthly traffic of 1.5 lac users per month.

Also helped business structuring at a later stage and was heavily involved in research on Tablet PC variants in the market.

Did market research on Tobacco industry in Malawi and helped create content for Global Shapers leadership program.

Wrote blogs on conversion optimization for websites and ecommerce businesses.
