1. The Multi-Hyphenate Nightmare
Your headline reads like a list of careers someone suggests when they’re trying to avoid a real job. "SVP, Podcast Host, TEDx Speaker, Author, Pastor, Rapper..." Adam, we get it—you’re the only person who can sell a sustainable folding carton, pray for the client's soul, and then drop a 16-bar verse about the supply chain. Are you running a business or a one-man Renaissance Fair for the printing industry?

2. The "Packaging Pastor"
You’ve leaned so hard into the "Packaging Pastor" brand that I half-expect your podcast episodes to start with a call to worship. You treat corrugated cardboard like the Fourth Person of the Trinity. Most people use LinkedIn to find work; you’re using it to start a sect where the only "mortal sin" is using non-recyclable plastic.

3. The "Hope Dealer" Aesthetic
You call yourself a "Hope Dealer" and an "Evangelist for the Packaging Industry." Let’s be real: you’re a guy who sells labels and boxes. You talk about a die-cut template like it’s the Dead Sea Scrolls. I’ve seen people talk about their newborn children with less passion than you talk about "omnichannel unboxing experiences."

4. The Content Machine
You’re a "daily presence" on LinkedIn. We know. If a tree falls in the forest and you aren't there to record a 60-second clip about whether the bark is FSC-certified, does it even make a sound? You have over 300 podcast episodes. At this point, People of Packaging isn't a show; it's a hostage situation for anyone who’s ever worked near a printing press.

5. The Children's Book
You wrote Packaging Peeks and the Sticky Situation. Nothing says "I’ve lost the plot" like trying to teach a five-year-old about adhesive sustainability. Most kids want stories about dragons; you’re giving them a lecture on the "currency of attention" on the retail shelf.

6. The TEDx Talk
"The good news about packaging and the hope it offers for the future." It’s a TEDx talk, not the Sermon on the Mount. You are the only person who can stand on a red carpet circle and try to convince the world that a cereal box is the key to global salvation.

The Verdict: You’re the most wholesome, high-energy, cardboard-obsessed person on the internet. You’re what happens when a motivational speaker gets trapped in a Label King Printing plant and decides that "joy" is just another word for "flexographic printing."

Keep up the good work, Pastor. We’ll see you in the next life—or at least in the next 15 posts you make today.

Yesterday, I was having a conversation with a fellow packaging nerd about a lot of things and one of them was conference/sales speakers in the industry being hit or miss

So I'll make my pitch here on why I think I'm a great option:

There aren't a lot of people who have given over 200 public talks (sermons, business, classrooms), including a TEDx talk, in our industry. Also hosted/co-hosted over 700 podcast episodes.

Currently, I have 1 speaking session booked and have room for 3-4 more in my schedule this year. 

The topics I can speak on are sales, marketing, social media, AI, or combinations of those. My book, Sales Exegesis, is also a great topic!

No, I don't do this for free any longer. There are people who will and they'll do a fine job. 

Yes, I'm struggling a bit to understand how these decisions are typically made. I LOVE public speaking and I'm very well trained in it

Question - Should I use a speaking agent to find these opportunities? If I did, then my guess is the price that would be charged would be more since there would be agent fees involved.

This quote hit me this morning because it rang true for me and the reason I wrote Sales Exegesis

When we find ourselves in tough places, we tend to lean on past learnings and experiences to be guide for our way out

My first step into sales I was stuck in financial debt so bad I couldn’t afford to expense my meals during training without overdrafting

Also I had never seen a flexo press and my job was to sell stuff printed on these. $2 million a year was my number I needed to get to

I leaned on a lot of things, but one of them was my training from DTS (Dallas Theological Seminary) and my class on Biblical Exegesis

1) Observe
2) Interpret
3) Correlate
4) Apply

I applied this to my sales process and had a foundation from which to work (among many other things like mentoring from Mark Potter , Graham Rushall , Paulette Gramse , John Garrison , Pete Petrie , Jim Marshall and others!)
