Owner and operator of 12 Subway restaurants.

I introduced the Subway franchise in Mauritius in 2014. 

In this role, I was responsible for the general management of the company – finding prime locations, developing the territory, implementing strategic marketing initiatives, hiring a high-impact team, putting financial mechanisms in place, and ultimately ensuring we scale.

In addition, I set up supply chain integration, funding mechanisms to ensure strategic growth, operational support structure, strategic management, brand equity, and traction boosting strategies, and implemented a lean and rapid development business model that ensured double-digit year-on-year growth.

As a result, Subway became the fastest growing restaurant brand in Mauritius. We later acquired the rights to operate the brand exclusively in South Africa.

HMRawat Communications is a leading distributor and partner for 20+ international brands in 10+ countries. With offices and channels on three continents, the company is uniquely placed as a mediator between emerging industries and consumer trends and the growing demand from the MEA region.

In this role, I led sales and marketing arm for the Group. 

I recruited high-impact marketing and sales teams to ensure fast and exponential growth, along with implementing strategic marketing initiatives regionally, nationally, and internationally, in addition to growing the distribution network. 

While I was working for the family business, we secured more than 80% of the mobile phone market share in Mauritius. Moreover, we achieved a 300% increase in annual revenue for the Madagascar business unit and a 1,500% increase in annual revenue for the Seychelles business unit.

We also launched the first electronics e-commerce website in Mauritius.

During my time in this role, I secured contracts with the Ministry of Finance to promote small-medium scale entrepreneurship in Mauritius.

Our portfolio also included projects with Puma, where we integrated targeted social media and SMS outreach, generating a 500% increase in sales on the first campaign day.

We also built and managed a digital marketing presence for a Top-30 company in Mauritius, reaching over 10% of the country population in active engagement.

One year after the official launch, WMedia was awarded the SME company of the year by the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology of Mauritius.

A few months ago we were at €0.

This is the second SaaS I've built. The first one I sold at €500K ARR.

This time, we moved faster. Here's exactly how we did it, so you can do it too.

The core principle that changed everything:

We used our own tool to grow our own tool.

Gojiberry AI finds high-intent leads and engages with them automatically.

We run it on ourselves. It works insanely well.

Here's the full breakdown:

1) Outreach (the engine)

- LinkedIn: 5 accounts, 30 connection requests + 30 DMs per account per day.

Only targeting warm leads showing real intent.

Connection acceptance rates and reply rates are insane when you do this right.

- Cold email: 6,500 emails per day. 302,000 sent in 90 days. 900+ opportunities created.

41 domains, 123 inboxes, plain text only, no links, no images, 2-3 email sequences max.

Total infra cost: ~$600/month.

The offer is always the same: a valuable blueprint. No pitch. Just value first.

2) Inbound (the compound effect)

- LinkedIn: 6 posts per day across 6 accounts.

6 days/week = lead magnet content. 1 day/week = founder story.

Last 7 days: 588,187 impressions.

- Reddit: 11.8M+ views in 4 months. The trick: warm up the account, post 3x per week, tell real stories, offer blueprints, and never debate the haters.

- YouTube: Long-tail SEO content targeting competitor keywords. It's starting to rank.

- SEO: 50K visitors/month and growing fast.

3) Paid (we're just starting)

- 3 LinkedIn influencer posts/week (~$500 each).

- Facebook retargeting + acquisition

Scaling paid ads aggressively right now.

4) Demos

5–8 per day. ~70% close rate to free plan. Mostly sales teams.

What actually worked:
→ Using our own tool on ourselves (this alone is a cheat code)
→ High-intent outreach > cold outreach. Every single time.
→ Lead magnet posts on LinkedIn that generate thousands of comments. 

One post added $5K MRR in under 24 hours. Cost: $0.

→ Replying to every single comment.
→ Speed. Every delay kills momentum. We removed friction from every step of the funnel.
→ AI helping us do 10x more than we ever could alone.

What's not working:
- Churn is still too high
- We need to delegate. We're currently hiring a product owner/designer to help us scale to $10M ARR (feel free to reach out if you know someone 😇 )

The honest truth:
The path from €0 to $1M ARR is not glamorous.

It's 18-hour days, boring repetitive work, testing things that fail, and doing it all again tomorrow.

But if you do the right things every day, good outreach, real value, fast follow-up, it compounds.

And one day you wake up and you're at $1M ARR.

The goal now: $10M ARR.

Most people doing LinkedIn outreach in 2026 are still playing a 2019 game.

Blasting connection requests. Sending 300-word messages.

Contacting cold people on Sunday.

I've tested hundreds of campaigns through GojiberryAI.

Here's what actually works.

1. Stop targeting cold leads first.

High-intent leads exist right now. People interacting with content in your niche, visiting your profile, engaging with your content, searching for competitors, etc...

An average message to a warm lead beats the best message to a cold lead. Every time.

2. Don't put a note in the connection invite.
It outperforms a note almost every time.

3. Protect your account. Dedicated IP. Randomized actions throughout the day. 

4. Never send on Sunday. People don't answer. You're wasting your quota.

5. Fill your quota with warm leads first. Then use remaining slots for cold outreach.

6. Ramp up slowly if you're automating. Warmup phase first. Increase week by week to 100 connection requests. Sales Navigator + very active account? You could be able to push to 200/week.

7. Your existing network is a goldmine. Dozens of ICP contacts are already connected to you. DM them directly, no request needed. Tens of messages per day you're leaving on the table.

8. 3-message sequence. That's it. → Message 1: Short AI-personalized icebreaker (~40 words) → Message 2: Value follow-up → Message 3: Ultra-short last touch

9. Our best follow-up gets 40% reply rate. 

"[FirstName], we booked 12 demos in 5 days using warm leads + AI on LinkedIn. I wrote a short doc breaking down exactly how - thought it could be useful for you & your team at [Company].

Want me to send it over?"

Pure value. No pitch.

10. Personalize. But don't over-personalize. One relevant thing about them. Not five. Too much personalization kills the personalization.

11. Keep first messages under 40 words. People scan LinkedIn on their phone in 10 seconds. Act like it.

12. Post content while you outreach. The people you DM will see your posts. They'll start trusting you before you follow up.

13. Multiply with your team. Every teammate adds 3-4 more touchpoints per lead per day. A team of 5 compounds fast.

Right person. Right timing. Right message. In that order.

Most people focus on the message first. Flip it.
