Exactly 1 year ago, I was sitting in a quarterly planning meeting at Planoly when something clicked.

↳ But your calendar is always full

You say: "I trust my team" 
↳ But you micromanage every decision

You say: "Take risks" 
↳ But you punish every failure

You say: "Family comes first" 
↳ But you text them at midnight

See the pattern?

In the gap between words and action:
- Trust dies
- Loyalty breaks
- Talent leaves
- Culture crumbles

Because your team isn't watching your slides. 

They're watching: 
👉 Your calendar
👉 Your decisions 
👉 Your priorities 
👉 Your reactions 

🎯 Your legacy isn't built on what you say in meetings. 
It's built in the small moments when you think no one is watching.

Because you can't edit your patterns like you edit your speeches.

Perfect ideas often start as messy drafts. 

Airbnb didn't nail it on day one either:

First idea: "Forget hotels" (a hard sell in 2008)
↳ People thought it was insane. No one wanted to do it.
Pivot: "Travel like a human."
↳ Better, but still not clicking.
Then they figured it out: "Belong anywhere."

Airbnb didn't succeed because it was brilliant on day one.
They succeeded because they were willing to pivot fast.
- Tried an idea
- It didn't work (or only partially worked)
- Asked "What if we're solving the wrong problem?"
- Moved to the next idea
- Repeated until they found it

We get stuck because we get married to Idea #1. 
When it doesn't work, we:
👉 Try harder (more emails, more effort, more grinding)
👉 Self-doubt (maybe I'm not good enough)
👉 Quit (this wasn't meant for me anyway)

The people who succeed aren't the ones with the perfect first idea. 
They're the ones who:
✅ Test quickly
✅ Listen to feedback
✅ Question assumptions
✅ Pivot without ego
✅ Repeat until they find it

Remember: 
Speed of iteration > Quality of first idea.

Don't wait for the perfect idea. 
You're probably closer than you think. 
You just need to be willing to move.

📌 The question isn't: "Is this idea wrong?"
The question is: "How many wrong ideas away am I from right?"
