During this tenure, I oversaw the integration of two acquisitions, which became the SalesLoft Conversation Intelligence and Deals Forecast products. My success in this role was driven by building empowered, high-performing teams and maintaining a strong focus on customer needs. I also emphasized the importance of coaching and mentoring, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.

During graduate school, I founded my first business, Yeah Chemistry (originally MyChemistryTutor.com), an online web-based platform designed to help chemistry students get assistance outside of classroom hours. Inspired by our weekly cross-class tutoring sessions and realizing that chemistry was effectively taught in similar ways everywhere, our vision was to teach chemistry to anyone, anywhere, at scale. Originally built in an early version of Drupal (Drupal 4) and developed over a decade, the platform refined my skills as a software developer, architect, and in server optimization. As the sole founder responsible for revenue growth, I honed my abilities in SEO, with 80% of traffic driven by organic search results, as well as social strategy and revenue optimization. I also developed expertise in the LAMP stack (PHP) and created numerous publicly available custom modules and themes. The skills I learned at Yeah Chemistry served as the basis for my career, providing a fast paced playground for testing new strategies and technologies while helping others.

As the first product manager at NDN (Inform), I played a key role in developing AI and NLP-driven solutions for the video ad tech space. I managed the creation of adaptive learning recommendation systems that used dynamic algorithms to autonomously place news videos within articles and summarize content. These systems were designed to understand and adapt to newspaper editor preferences for video placement, enhancing audience engagement. Our Digital Media Exchange platform, utilized by over 4,500 top publisher sites, significantly increased traffic and generated new revenue through innovative algorithms and advanced player and ad operations products.

Before transitioning to product management at NDN, I worked as a software engineer with a primary focus on processing streams of video and content data in JSON and XML formats for ingestion into our Digital Media Exchange. I developed tools and modules that enabled our publishers to select and use any content in our exchange within their preferred content management systems. In addition, I supported DevOps in optimizing our tech stack and optimizing EC2 and other Linux servers, utilizing tools such as APC, Memcached, and Varnish. These efforts resulted in faster delivery times and increased revenue for our customers.

As a VP of Product & Engineering, I have managed product managmeent, product design and engineering teams while being responsible for product strategy and roadmap.

I was the Head of Product for SalesLoft, where I was part of the executive team that helped grow the company to a $1.1B valuation and a world-class SaaS sales engagement platform. I also co-founded The Bitter Southerner, an online publication and media company that showcases the diversity and innovation of the South. My first career was in chemistry, where I developed my analytical and problem-solving skills, and built my first web application to assist students. I enjoy coaching and mentoring other leaders, as well as supporting addiction recovery initiatives.
