Longer story:
My career spans almost 25 years of professional industry experience and I have an extensive range of skills. I started RoRemote - my solopreneur Remote Skills training and consultancy company - in 2017, before the pandemic. 

My lived experience is why I have such a passion for Remote Work:
In 2015 my daughter developed severe childhood asthma, so bad that we moved from Dublin, Ireland, to Zaragoza, Spain, to improve her health and also enhance our overall lifestyle as a family. Remote Work enabled that move. Hence my passion for its socioeconomic influence, the power of global mobility and the flexibility it offers.
 
However, I advocate for the need to embrace and use that flexibility wisely with a focus on individual worker wellbeing and life-work-integration:

Applications open NOW for the STAR Residency program 🚨 

The Residency program is designed as a month of carefully designed stay and work in Herzegovina and Montenegro, with an emphasis on rural tourism.

Participants will mostly stay with local tourism operators in rural areas and use their services, through a schedule that combines a work environment, local experiences, nature and getting to know the community.

the STAR Progam promotes tourism and attracting digital nomads to rural cross-border areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.

Nomad participants will spend a month in multiple locations and visit a number of destinations in Montenegro and Herzegovina. According to the program plan, participants will pass through the following destinations: Podgorica, Mojkovac, Kolašin, Šavnik, Žabljak, Plužine, Nikšić, Herceg Novi, Kotor , then in Bosnia and Herzegovina Ravno, Stolac, Čapljina (Hutovo blato), Ljubuški, Mostar and Grude.

As part of the STAR project, supported by the European Union, applications are now open for a one-month residency program that combines work, travel, and the development of sustainable tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
📅 Program duration: April 15 – May 15, 2026
The program brings together digital nomads who will stay and work across various locations in Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina through a structured itinerary, with a focus on rural destinations and local tourism operators.
🔎 What the program includes:
 • Covered travel, accommodation, and activity expenses
 • Organized stays across multiple destinations
 • Networking with local communities and the nomad scene
 • Participation in events and destination promotion
🎯 Who we are looking for:
 Digital nomads with an active online presence and the ability to create high-quality content, who want to contribute to the visibility of the region and the development of the digital nomad ecosystem.
