After a busy day in London, I was invited to an event by the wonderful Sarah Jepson.

I was chatting to a number of successful, entrepreneurial women, with similar stories as to why they left the workplace.

I came across an interesting article this morning about Gen Z and I began to connect some of the dots.

Wall Street sees a hiring crisis. Gen Z sees an opportunity to redefine work.

While 75% of hiring managers call Gen Z “difficult to work with,” the data tells a different story:

• 76% of Gen Z workers actively embrace AI tools like ChatGPT to upskill

• 49% have voluntarily left jobs that didn’t offer growth, flexibility, or fair pay

This isn’t a generation that can’t find work. It’s a generation that won’t settle for work that doesn’t align with their values.

Gen Z isn’t rejecting the corporate ladder they’re questioning whether it’s worth climbing. 

This was exactly what I was hearing from many of the successful women in the room.

Maybe it’s time we stop asking what’s wrong with Gen Z and start asking what their choices reveal about our workplaces?

Big news for women’s health in England:

From 2026, menopause screening will be officially added to NHS health checks for adults aged 40–74.

For the first time, women will be asked about menopause symptoms, helping identify those who could benefit from advice, HRT, or other support.

Health Secretary Wes Streeting says:

“Women have been suffering in silence for far too long. No-one should have to grit their teeth and just get on with it.”

This is a major step toward bringing menopause into the mainstream, but with fewer than half of eligible people attending NHS checks, awareness and accessibility must follow.

OpenAI just turned ChatGPT into an app platform.

You can now use third-party apps inside ChatGPT, such as Canva, Spotify, Expedia, and more all without leaving the conversation.

💡 For everyday users: Tasks that used to mean 6 tabs and 3 logins now happen in one natural chat flow.

For builders and businesses: Your product can live inside ChatGPT, tapping into context, reasoning, and an audience in the hundreds of millions.

For the ecosystem: ChatGPT just became an operating system for AI agents not a chatbot.

But before we get too excited… 

⚠️ Early-days friction: limited regions, latency, and app stability will test adoption.

Monetisation and data-sharing policies are still vague , the business model will matter.

Developer quality will make or break this,  the ecosystem needs great apps fast.


This is the biggest interface shift since the App Store , I wonder what this will mean for the other players like Anthropic??

Today is World Mental Health Day.  Remember this... your mental health matters just as much as your professional achievements.

In workplaces, where we often celebrate productivity and output, we sometimes forget to acknowledge the person behind the performance. 

We forget that burnout is real, that anxiety doesn't disappear after a good meeting, and that struggling with mental health doesn't make you any less capable or worthy.

Here's what I've learned; Taking care of your mind isn't a luxury, it's a necessity. It's what enables us to show up as our best selves, to lead with clarity, and to contribute meaningfully to our teams and communities.

If you're facing mental health challenges, you should never feel alone. Many of us have similar challenges.

Reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Your workplace should be a space where you feel safe being human, struggles and all.

To those leaders and managers that help people feel empowered to talk about mental health without shame, I salute you.  

We can all do better to recognize that diversity of thought requires diversity of wellbeing needs.

Only 121 out of 400 UK companies are truly gender-equitable in 2025.
That’s just 30%!!!

The new Women in Work 100 Report 2025 reveals a gap between progress and power.
 • The number of firms publishing parental-leave policies has risen 22%.
 • The gender pay gap is narrowing (most large companies now sit below 15%.)
 • Yet CEO succession remains 90% male!

The gap isn’t in the pipeline, it’s in progression.

So despite the right systems and structures, the ultimate leadership outcomes aren’t shifting.

In tech, women make up just 27% of the workforce, yet hold 36% of leadership roles.  One of the few sectors where representation improves at senior levels.

Flexibility and transparency are moving the dial (let's not ignore the small wins) but parity at the top is still lagging and down from last year.

Maybe the problem isn’t finding female talent, it’s keeping it!!

AI anxiety is a real thing, but here’s something to help you anchor down on….

AI generated content from models such as Sora Or Veo is no doubt impressive and a shiny new thing that feels novel.

But like all shiny new things, we desensitise ourselves and they become balanced or the ‘norm’.

This is where us as humans take back the advantage.

I’ve started to observe this already with social media content.  Users will engage with a photo or video until they realise it’s AI generated and then disengage slightly.

Humans want to see real humans talk about their experiences, talk about their service and be less polished!

Before you let your AI anxiety get the better of you, remember, we still live in a world where both play happily together (for now).

Use your human expertise to connect with your audience and your AI abilities to streamline everything behind the scenes.  

Unless of course your creating videos of flying, talking dogs!

Are we now seeing the rise of 'regulated' Wellbeing Tech?  New Zealand are certainly taking the lead....

Health New Zealand has officially endorsed “Ask Groov,” a 24/7 AI mental-health guide for adults.

This isn’t another experimental app.

It’s one of the first government-backed AI wellbeing tools, designed to help people manage stress, build resilience, and access support anytime.

Why this matters:

We’re watching the mainstreaming of AI in mental health, but with real governance and duty-of-care in place.

That’s a huge signal for employers, wellbeing coaches, and tech founders who are integrating digital health tools into their employee or customer experiences.

As AI wellbeing support moves from novelty to necessity, the question shifts from “Should we?” to “How do we ensure it’s safe, ethical, and effective?”

I followed the hype and read the book, 'Ignite your GTM with AI' and for the first time, I am proud to be a follower!!  

This book packs a whole lot of punch if you are serious about AI transformation in your GTM org.  It's not just about tools, It's about architecture! 

True AI transformation isn't about substitution or automation. It's about designing Intelligence Architectures that rewire your organization.  I love how this is positioned in the book.

So many helpful frameworks and principles to follow with good reminders that AI amplifies human strategy, not replaces it. "Leaders must get hands-on to design AI-native GTM" - Kyle Norton  

This makes you stop to reflect about how you can play your part to eliminate cognitive and bandwidth constraints that hold you back.

Avoid the Traps.  No tool-first deployments, no leader detachment, no perfectionism paralysis (that's a big one).

This book talks in detail about achieving productivity multiples that traditional approaches can't touch. The next 2 years will define market leaders.
