Drove the integration of Gold Coast Schools into Colibri Real Estate, boosting employee morale & growing EBITDA. Restructured the organization to increase alignment with corporate shared services organization.   Led project to reduce COGs through the wind down of on campus printing operations and reallocated resources in support of revenue growth.  Redesigned sales compensation plans to reward top performers.  Led a post-COVID transition back to hybrid and in person learning.

Partnered with the CEO/Founder to lead company through a turbulent market severely impacted by the Covid pandemic.   Served as the Integrator for the business (EOS).   Hired, trained & developed a high-performing sales and service team to stabilize revenue, improve customer satisfaction and increase customer retention.   Innovated recurring revenue products and program delivery to better serve a rapidly changing market.

Ascend Learning - Global Fitness and Wellness Division dba Premier Global NASM 

Led a challenging international restructure and integration of our U.K. based Fitness & Wellness business and piloted a critical transition from classroom-based education to online delivery.  Provided integral oversight to P&L management to stabilize revenue and profitability.  Recruited, hired and trained a high-performing sales team.  Worked collaboratively with Marketing to drive forward a repositioning of the brand and core products.  Lobbied with key regulatory bodies to influence acceptance of online education delivery.   Developed strategic partnerships with key health club operators throughout the U.K.  Collaborated closely with U.S. operations to drive alignment and execution.

Ascend Learning - Global Fitness and Wellness Division dba National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)

Rejoined the Global Fitness & Wellness division to accelerate revenue growth of a stagnant business and partner with our new division President to provide stability and improve morale across the organization.   I spearheaded daily revenue operations focused on sales, marketing, business development and product management while ensuring our division’s strategies aligned with near term business objectives.  

✪ Achieved six consecutive quarters of >16% revenue growth.
✪ Reduced marketing spend by ~$800K and reallocated budget to increase operating leverage and EBITDA (+26%).
✪ Led the strategy and business case approval for the largest new product capital investment for the company (at the time) in support of a new product launch which delivered an ROI of +450% in year 1.
✪ Improved new product speed to market by 25% via process improvements, restructure and talent development.

Ascend Learning - Financial Services and Solutions Division dba ExamFX

Led a challenging post-acquisition merger and integration of TesTeachers with competitor ExamFX to provide stability and accelerate our integration timeline.   Had full P&L responsibility, led the management team and drove day to day operational execution.  

✪ Ensured near term profitability through effective change management practices with critical focus on retaining key customer accounts.  
✪ Identified and developed key personnel for future business roles.   
✪ We were able to accelerate the integration of the two businesses 6 months faster than originally planned.

Acquisition Integration Leader and General Manager

Ascend Learning - Global Fitness and Wellness Division dba National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)

Spearheaded the scale up of our revenue operations and drove significant growth over a sustained period within Ascend Learning's Fitness & Wellness Division (dba National Academy of Sports Medicine - NASM).   Developed new markets, including health club, international and education market expansion.  Took a hands-on approach to talent recruitment and development within the sales, business development, and account management organizations.

✪ Owned full revenue responsibility and ensured our division’s sales strategies aligned with growth objectives.  
✪ Took a hands-on approach to talent recruitment and development during a significant scale up period, building the sales organization from 8 personnel in 2008 to over 70 in 2016.  
✪ Enhanced and expanded B2B channel growth via:  Health Club Operators, Strategic Partnerships, Academic Institutions (high school, undergraduate, and post graduate levels), and International Expansion via our distribution partner network.   Grew B2B sales from ~$1M annually to >$6M annually.  
✪ Achieved cumulative average revenue growth of +24% over tenure helping increase top line revenue from ~$10M in 2008 to ~$75M in 2018.
✪ Led the internal due diligence and integration teams during the strategic acquisition of AFAA (Athletics and Fitness Association of America) which added ~$9M in annual revenue, and ~$4M in EBITDA.

Selected as the interim General Manager while Ascend Learning searched for a new division President within the Global Fitness and Wellness division dba National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).   I led daily business operations and held full P&L responsibility for a five-month time frame.  

✪ Accelerated revenue growth from +13% YOY to +27% YOY through revamping our pricing and product strategies, increasing sales capacity while simultaneously improving profitability.
