I am managing UK billing operations for Telcoinabox Ltd, to ensure all telecoms bills are produced and reconciled as well as all supplier invoices reconciled against raw carrier billing data. A major part of this role is maintaining and updating the product and billing database utilising SQL, in effect being the manager and gatekeeper of billing, revenue assurance, price routing, and the product portfolio.

Key Achievements:

•	Designed revenue assurance methods with measures to detect billing anomalies and reconciliation of CDR data preventing losses and increasing profits
•	Developed and innovated new efficient workflows saving time and money
•	Transformed billing processes and developed automation for efficiencies
•	Facilitated methods to reduce revenue loss through reconciliation of accounts receivable vs. invoices
•	Enhanced the b2b customer satisfaction rating to 100% consistently by introducing process improvement

Amongst my greatest achievements during my time here has overseen the improved efficiency of several business processes, saving time and people’s power. This was achieved through auditing using Excel, innovating workflows including automation and database simplification utilising Excel and SQL.

Billing Operations Manager

•	Orchestrated the timely execution of the Bill-Run process; rating telecoms CDR charges through to invoice production in Sage (end-to-end delivery)
•	Telecoms Billing system configuration and regular innovation of the Billing Project Implementation
•	Developing and building a SQL telecoms database of billing rate plans for new and existing CDR charge types
•	Data Mining (SQL / Excel), mapping of billing import methods and new CDR import methods
•	SQL / Database Management System (DBMS) analysis for current, new and variable mapping of CDR data to charge type and rating, including test specifications
•	Financial auditing in Excel and analysis of carrier and wholesale charges reducing revenue loss performing reporting to stakeholders – company directors and accountants
•	Maintain documentation, monitor, and resolve telecommunication billing inquiries, disputes, and charge issues related to billing

•	Advanced use of Excel, Access, SQL managing telecoms data.
•	Responsible for telecoms provisioning and supporting business clients managing their client databases using ZenDesk (similar to Jira) and Utilibill (similar to Ability) CRM.

•	Maintaining health and safety, infection control and practice protocols

•	Records Administration and RA sponsoring for NHS smart cards, dealing with GPIT at NHS England and SaaS suppliers in the maintenance of EMIS Web and Docman

Lift Thoughts: BBC Radio 4, Blended Families & Law

I heard a piece on BBC Radio 4 recently about blended families and it genuinely made me smile.

It took me back to growing up, watching my mum and dad, their new partners, and all 10 of us kids trying to figure it out in real time. 

Yes… you read that right… 10 kids. After five, my dad clearly decided what he really needed was basically a full football team 😂

But yeah no manuals, no neat structure, just mum and dad doing their best to make something new work.

Did it work all of the time?
Erm… absolutely not 😂

It was just nice to hear, and the radio discussion handled it beautifully, being honest about the complexity and the law but also very human about what blended families actually look like day to day.

Family law only touched my world briefly at the end of my LLB, and I remember feeling torn at how something so full of emotion could be reduced to boxes and paperwork.

It also made me realise just how much family lawyers deal with. Stepping in at the most emotional moments, trying to bring clarity where there was perhaps none to begin with. 

Honestly, a lawyer would have pulled their hair out dealing with my mum and dad!

So yeah, that’s today’s lift thoughts… straight from my head to yours.

Oh and here’s a very fitting lift photo of me, my mum, and just two of my siblings.

I don’t think all 10 of us would have comfortably fit in one lift🤔
