Many of you have sent me notes about the Proof Causal.ai 2025 GTM Effectiveness Report. Thank you!

One person asked this question:

“If 53% of my GTM spend is ineffective and a waste, and 53% of our GTM spend is canceled for being ineffective, won’t we be even more ineffective?”

Some might not get that point, but I do. 

The goal is not to simply whack half of your GTM spend. 

The goal is to identify what’s ineffective, and why. It might be that it’s an execution issue that needs to be remedied for parts of it. But a lot of the waste is waste because the marketplace has changed and your mix has not.
