I've worked with websites then it's natural bedmate, Social Media, since 2007. I have a great understanding of website user journeys - what makes people want to stay on your site and connect with you and your product and what makes people leave websites. I have run presentations and workshops on what makes a great website as well as using Social Media for your start up and using Social Media safely and practically, in schools.

'Untangling the Online World' is how I like to describe what This Demanding Life is about. Primarily focused on digital marketing and strategy, I also write courses to help people navigate and feel confident with Social Media, planning websites and how to make the most of your online presence. 

I love to help people develop confidence in presenting themselves online. This covers all areas including directing photo shoots, creating website videos and vlogs and creating tutorials to teach people how to handle the technical side of websites and video editing. 

An experienced speaker and trainer, I run workshops and lead presentations in all areas of social and digital media.

Chipmunk Design was born out of a love of website design and social media. With over a decade of experience advising people in the industry and working on websites as a sideline, it was time to take it to the next level and make it official. 

Working with Start Ups and SMEs, building their brands and helping give them direction to take their company to the next level, we consult on all areas of marketing as well as offering change process solutions.

As with everything at Park Hill, the Communications role has organically grown from a Marketing position to the majority of day to day management of school life. Primarily my role is 'communicating' with our families, from first enquiry through their attendance at school, once our students move on, I manage the Alumni Association. 

I work closely with the Headmistress and Proprietor to ensue the smooth running of the business (as much as you can with lots of small children on site!) Having originally joined Park Hill as a Teaching Assistant, a large part of my current role is to support our staff, helping them to communicate with families and managers and occasionally, covering their lessons. 

As Head of IT I am responsible for all the Hardware and Software as well as managing our contracts, website and social media. Alongside this I also ensure that our teaching reflects (and exceeds) the curriculum and that all equipment is in good working order and suitable for the task. 

In 2012 I implemented the change from Microsoft to Mac as well as upgrading all of the Interactive Boards and helping to write a database to be used for administrative purposes. I provide and arrange all staff training in both, Hardware and Software. 

My favourite part of my role is that every day is different. I love meeting our new families, having a role that encourages good relations with staff and working with funny, joyful, inspiring children.

My love of playdough and small people led me to become a Teaching Assistant at Park Hill. Whilst predominantly placed in Nursery and specialising in Early Years, I worked with all the children in the school (aged from 3 - 11 years) teaching Classical Civilization to Years 1 - 6, running reading groups for Years 1 - 6 and working with children with challenging behaviour throughout the school.

As Office Manager I was responsible for supporting the Sales, Lettings and Property Management departments. I completed all administrative duties (alongside working as PA to the partners), was responsible for all contracts with our suppliers, Marketing and the day to day running of all departments. Having worked as a negotiator in both, Sales and Lettings, I covered the staff holiday leave working as a negotiator alongside my regular role. 

In 2006 I oversaw the purchase, change of use, refurbishment and staffing of a new office in another part of Putney. Once the office was opened I ran both offices.

ABOUT ME

I’m a website designer, ex-comms and marketing pro, mum of 3 kids & 2 crazy dogs. 

I’ve worked on websites for decades. Back in the halcyon days of the mid 00s I worked with tech guys where I'd take the website brief, sketch the design on paper and they’d build it. I then learned to build them myself, a few years later I started building websites for small businesses. I build all types of website: brochure, products/shops, memberships and courses.
