- Optimized the layout of the distribution center and increased its capacity by 2,900 pallet spots (~ 200,000 $/year savings achieved)
- Increased the cubic utilization ratio (average volume/truck) in the trucks for Istanbul customers (~ 50,000 $/year savings achieved)

Ekrem Okumus is a senior Logistics, Supply Chain, and Operations leader with 20+ years of experience in planning, procurement, logistics (transportation and customs), distribution, warehousing, and customer service areas across multiple regions and markets. He is currently heading the Supply Chain function at Hayat Kimya, where he is responsible for all demand/supply/production planning activities, S&OP and IBP processes, logistics operations (import and export transportation, and customs) and their procurement, in-market distribution and warehousing operations, E2E e-commerce and co-packing/promotion activities, and customer service activities for Turkey.
