This is a bittersweet post to write.

After a lot of reflection, I’ve decided to close Extra Mile early next year.

Building it has been one of the most meaningful chapters of my career and life.
It taught me what it really feels like to build without a brand behind you. 
To sell, deliver, educate, and stand on your own — especially in a market as diverse and demanding as the UAE.

There were proud moments.
There were challenges I didn’t see coming.

And there were lessons I’ll carry for a very long time:
• That credibility is earned one conversation at a time  
• That not every client is the right client  
• And that entrepreneurship forces a level of clarity you can’t get anywhere else

But over the last months, something shifted.
I realised this chapter had done its job.
I had reached the limit of what Extra Mile was meant to teach me — and a new path was quietly taking shape.

So yes, I’m closing Extra Mile.
Not because it didn’t work.
But because my next step requires all of me.

I won’t reveal the details yet.
But it’s a move that blends everything I’ve built so far — sales, marketing, operations — into a role with more impact, more responsibility, and more growth than I’ve had in years.

For now, I simply want to say thank you...

If you don’t plan your time, someone else will own it.

A coach from CCL once told me the only conference that consistently filled rooms with C-suites was about… getting things done.

Not strategy.  
Not leadership.  
Not innovation.

Time.

Because without control of your time, you can’t control anything else.

The mistake?  
We treat planning like overhead.  
We treat action like progress.  
But without a map, “action” is just movement.

Try these 5 shifts:

1) Track your time for one week — the truth is eye-opening.  
      → Clockify was amazing for me and it is free

2) Block calendar slots for what actually matters.  

3) Protect daily and weekly review rituals.  

4) Rebuild your to-do workflow with GTM methodology instead of carrying yesterday forward.  

5) Prioritise using the Eisenhower matrix — no excuses.

If you want to think long-term, start managing short-term with intent.

I have started in this company from selling at a store, then managing it and ultimately opening & supervising multiple outlets across Beirut.

Achievements

- Grew the business from 1 to 6 successful shops and implemented a POS system for every shop.

- Achieved 98% positive client satisfaction rate across our outlets and our delivery business. 

- Grew the delivery income stream from 5 per day to 100 per day in less than 7 years. (Revenue x12)

- Decreased the delivery time by half (40 min  to less than 20 min) in under 2 years.

- Drastically improved our customer service by putting in place a proper client relations’ & complain department.

Responsibilities

•	Studied various locations and selected the best one  leading to the opening of 6 shops.

•	Hired, trained and monitored around 20 employees from scratch and on a day-to-day basis.

•	Established a delivery business to cover areas of Beirut where B.I.C outlets were not present.

•	Designed the company’s 1st complaint management system and introduced several improvements.

•	Implemented a state of the art POS system (Omega Software) from A to Z.

•	Mentored and coached key employees to supervisory roles (Outlet Manager).

•	Negotiated and managed all premise permits, lease agreements and HSE policies, in line with regulations.

•	Oversaw employees’ payroll, and singlehandedly conducted bookkeeping for our 6 outlets.

•	Played a key role in implementing the company 1st digital / online presence (website / Social Media).

•	Developed brand new products to strengthen our winter cycle and reduce seasonal fluctuations.

In 2022, I founded Bachir Ice Cream Middle East in Dubai to bring our family’s iconic Lebanese ice cream to the Gulf.

Two years later, with four permanent stores across the UAE, a seasonal pop-up at The Ripe Market, and a strong partnership with Belhasa Hospitality, we’ve built a solid foundation.

Now, we’re entering a new phase. Our flagship store in Doha is opening imminently—marking our first step beyond the UAE and confirming our long-term vision for the region.

I’m based in Dubai and personally lead the brand’s expansion across the Gulf, staying true to its roots while adapting the experience to each market. Our focus remains: authenticity, quality, and emotional connection.
