Implemented and led Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) organization and meeting cadence in alignment with Global S&OP standards for four Ducted Systems business units with annual revenue of over $1B.

Products included commercial packaged rooftop HVAC equipment, residential split AC and heat pump systems along with service parts distributed through factory-owned and independent channel partners.

Additional roles include
- Ducted Systems Leadership Team member
- Co-leader for Organizational Health workshops for Ducted Systems including senior management
- Ducted Systems representative on Global Products Diversity and Inclusion Action Committee
- Executive Sponsor for Wichita Women’s Network Business Resource Group

Director Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) - Ducted Systems

Managed Program Management Office (PMO) team responsible for driving cross-functional programs for Ducted Systems business to successful completion. 

Programs included New Product Introductions (NPI) and Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives as well as operational excellence and sales channel business initiatives for the residential, commercial, international, and parts businesses.  

Other team responsibilities included competitive product teardown and costing analysis, process improvements, and internal communications for Ducted Systems. 

Additional roles included
- Ducted Systems Leadership Team member
- Executive Sponsor for Wichita Women’s Network Business Resource Group
- Key contributor in introducing new Kansas Leadership Center training program for Ducted Systems
- Co-host of Ducted Systems Leadership Podcast producing 30 episodes focused on applying innovative leadership principles to our business to help others throughout the organization make progress on adaptive challenges in their respective roles.

Director Operational Excellence and PMO - Ducted Systems

Responsible for a team leading cross-functional programs including New Product Introductions, Cost Reductions, and Sales Channel Initiatives for the residential and light commercial HVAC business in North America.

Served as Program Manager for completion of Light Commercial platform program beginning in this role while program was in-flight. Program budget was ~$13M of capital investment and involved the development of new products as well as factory assembly line in Norman, Oklahoma. Also served as Program Manager for multiple projects to expand Direct Fit product line.
  
Led Residential product new platform program supporting capital investment of ~$100M over 3 years to build UPG Residential business. Program introduced over 50 new product families with ~700 initial models following disciplined phase gate process.

Introduced program management disciplines to channel organization through initiatives designed to grow market share in key markets in North America.

Director - Program Management - Unitary Products Group

Formed and managed design engineering team with responsibility for all Johnson Controls Residential HVAC controls including equipment and zoning controls and thermostats. 

Additional accomplishments and responsibilities included
- Development of 5-year Residential Systems and Controls product and technology road map.
- Championed the adoption and implementation of phase gate Product Development Process
- Led a cross-functional, cross-business unit team to launch Johnson Controls' first residential color touch screen communicating HVAC system.

Engineering Manager - Residential Systems and Controls at Johnson Controls

Formed and managed multiple HVAC new product introduction (NPI) teams and product launches. Projects included those manufactured in Wichita, Kansas and Mexico plants. 

Served as Design Engineer in various capacities with a focus on systems and controls.

Project Engineer

Caterpillar Inc.

Worked on a team pioneering high accuracy GPS and its application to earthmoving equipment.  Responsibilities included algorithm and software development, lab and field software testing, system integration, and presentation to customer and industry groups.  

Relocated to Brisbane, Australia as a member of a select product development team.

In 2012, I completed 15 years in the corporate world.

Life was fast-paced, intense—18-hour workdays, back-to-back meetings, and constantly juggling projects.

Then, one week later, everything changed.

The pressure finally broke me. I ended up spending two weeks in the hospital.

With all the time in the world, I was left alone with my thoughts. Lying on the hospital bed, that’s when it hit me — what was I really doing with my life?

One sleepless night, tears streamed down my face as I confronted the truth I had been ignoring: I wasn’t living life on my terms. I wasn't being there for my family.

It was my wake-up call.

Within a year, I quit my job to go solo.

Project Management was my strength. So, I started helping others pass the PMP exam, using brain-friendly strategies I had mastered for myself.

For the next 8 months, I turned my notes into blog posts. I worked tirelessly, sold my house to stay afloat, and tried to build something out of nothing.

Yet, nothing seemed to work.

And then, I found Amazon.

I converted some of my blog posts into a book and self-published on Amazon. 

To my surprise, it became a #1 bestseller across 3 categories.

I went from chasing clients to clients chasing me — ready to pay hundreds of dollars for my coaching.

And that’s when I learned an important lesson:

In 2017, I took it a step further. I started posting daily on social media — content aimed at helping project managers.

By 2019, I launched my first online course.

This comment hit me harder than most.
