Let me share a little of my experience.

Over the past four decades, I've been in business. From working in the family company to founding or co-founding over 8 successful startups… Conventional and tech based.

In 2012, I co-founded Buzinga Apps, a small app development company based in Melbourne.

We grew Buzinga to one of the fastest-growing development agencies in Australia, until late 2017 when we sold.

During this period, sadly I witnessed numerous clients fail to achieve commercial success… Many, for reasons I thought were totally avoidable (in retrospect).

This sparked my obsession with success systems for tech startups.

I delved deep into design thinking, lean methodology, lean startup, and exponential growth strategy, among others. And had the opportunity to hang out with a bunch of successful founders, gaining their insights about what it takes.

There are several fundamental steps at each stage of tech business growth that must be completed to have any chance at commercial success.

In the past five years I have coached five tech startups to successful outcomes and impacted more than 120 with advice, guides and training.

My work focuses on people connection and building Australia’s startup ecosystem. This year, I was named Victorian Ecosystem Hero of the Year and awarded a $200,000 LaunchVic grant to deliver 60+ startup events over three years – recognition for work that bridges founders, talent, and the communities that help them grow.

At Kairos Recruitment, I work with startups and scaleups to go to market and build their early teams. We help founders define their hiring story, understand what great looks like for their stage, and find people who can grow with them. With more than a decade in recruitment and early-stage tech, I’ve seen how early hires shape everything – from culture to traction – and Kairos is built to make that process sharper, faster, and more human.

Through Aussie Founders Club, I bring together founders, operators, and ecosystem partners to share stories, connect deeply, and strengthen the fabric of Australia’s startup community. We host monthly meetups, panel events, and programs that celebrate real founder experiences – the wins, the lessons, and the things most people don’t talk about. Our goal is to make the startup world feel smaller, more connected, and more supportive, where collaboration replaces competition and founders can learn from each other’s journeys.

People love to post saying “I’m always getting asked xyz” - que eyeroll. 
But hear me out!! There actually IS one question I do get asked.

Most people aren’t wandering around thinking this, waiting to hear my secrets. I don’t just have people organically coming up to me asking how I do it all.

But if I mention the mix of what I do (I'm an attention seeker!) - the businesses, the community, the side projects , and the general chaos of life - that’s when I hear it: “how are you across all of that?”

Short answer: I’m a Notion person. 
Slightly longer answer: I also work a lot 😂

To set the scene. I’m painfully type A. I religously bought, replaced, and even designed my own diary with the plan to sell my own when none of the above suited my needs!

This year I realised I didn't even need on - because by mid-2025 I was barely using it.

Why?
Because my entire operating system now lives in Notion. 
Not just work - life.

I build client hubs for Kairos Recruitment.
I run automations for Aussie Founders Club's newsletter in there.
I teach founders how to use Notion to run people systems through PeopleStack.

It’s become my source of truth, my sanity check, and where I pair my notion with ChatGPT's deep research function for insights.

I collaborate in it. I plan in it. I don’t hold everything in my head (and diary) anymore.

I’m not even fully into AI agents yet - that’s my next frontier - but using Notion’s built-in AI alone has made my days calmer, clearer, and far more doable.
