Someone emailed me pretending to be my co-founder asking for money.

Here's what made it scary:
They knew we work together
They had details about our business
The email looked legitimate

I only caught it because I called to verify.

This is happening more than you think.
Scammers are scraping LinkedIn, building databases, and targeting professional relationships where trust already exists.

so make sure
- Verifying ANY financial request through a second channel (call/WhatsApp/Slack)
- Setting up verification phrases with my team for urgent requests
- Educating everyone on the team about these tactics

If someone's telling you hitting $5-10K/month is easy, they're lying to you.
Period.

I see these posts everywhere:
"I hit $10K/month in 90 days, here's my secret..."
"Simple framework that got me to $5K/month..."
"Anyone can do this if they just follow these 5 steps..."

Bullsh*t.

Here's the harsh truth 
We're at $5K- $10K/month range right now. And we're working our asses off to stay there.

Every. Single. Day.

You know who's actually making $10K/month consistently?
People who don't have time to write threads about how they're making $10K/month.

Because they're too busy:
- Delivering for existing clients
- Pitching new clients
- Managing teams
- Fixing what's breaking
- Staying up late making sure nothing falls apart

Those viral posts about "easy money"? may be written for engagement, written for likes or written to sell you a course.

But not written by people actually in the trenches doing the work.

I know agencies making real money. None of them are posting daily about their "simple secrets."

They're grinding silently and consistently.

Here's what actually getting to $5-10K/month looks like:
Months of failed pitches.
Clients who ghost after one call.
Proposals that go nowhere.
Late nights fixing mistakes.
Doing work for less than you're worth just to build proof.
Losing clients right when you think you've made it.

And anyone selling you the "easy path" is either lying or hasn't actually done it themselves.

Stop looking for shortcuts. Start putting in the work.
That's the only real framework.

How long did it actually take you to hit your first milestone?

My life got better when I started enjoying repetitive boring work.

Today, my day looks like:

- Write LinkedIn posts for founders
- Write cold email copies for outreach
- Research ideas for next piece of content
- Sit and figure out why the last post didn't work

Same thing. Every single day.
And I'm loving it.

Most people think success comes from doing something new and exciting every day.

May be true but for me It didn't.

I think it comes from doing the same boring thing consistently until you're so good at it that it stops being boring.

I used to jump between ideas. Chase shiny objects. Get bored easily.

Now? I do the same 4 things every day.
And my life has never been better.
Not because the work changed.
Because I changed how I see the work.

Repetition isn't boring. It's mastery in progress.

We reached 2K MRR in 45 days but 10K MRR in 300 days and almost quit in between.

10K in 300 days sounds slow for an agency. Maybe it is. But we're only 4 people working closely with clients who've been with us for over a year.

We figured out retention. That's the part most agencies struggle with.

Here's what we're doing differently
- We're not chasing scale at all costs. 
- We're not hiring aggressively. 
- We're not taking every client that comes our way.
- We're staying lean. Staying focused. 
- Keeping the team small and the quality high.

So that's said, the next 30 days, we're figuring out one specific niche where founders need real help. We have a plan in place and we will soon be executing.

By 2026, the goal is 50K MRR with a team of 5-6 max.
Not 50 people. Not fancy offices. Not bloated operations.

Just a lean team that does exceptional work, retains every client, and makes a lot of money.

It's a different playbook. 

Start slow. Grow steady. Keep everyone who trusts you.

Most agencies optimize for growth. We're optimizing for sustainability.

What's your agency optimizing for?

A founder in my workspace recently raised $10M without networking, personal branding, or talking to anyone.

He barely says hi. Just works. Every single day.

And it's challenging everything I thought I knew about being a founder.
We're told the formula is:
- Network constantly
- Build your personal brand on LinkedIn
- Be visible at every startup event
- Be extroverted and charismatic

He's doing none of that. Just building quietly, relentlessly. And it's working.

So what does it actually take to succeed his way?
Seed funding from the start? 
A business family backing him? 
Working 24/7 for years? I genuinely don't know. 

Maybe he has advantages I can't see. Maybe he's sacrificing things I can't imagine.

But it makes me question all the advice we're fed about "you must do X to succeed" and "this is the only way."

So maybe there isn't one path.

Some people win by being loud and visible. Others win by being silent and focused. Networking is essential for some, completely unnecessary for others.

There's no formula that works for everyone.

What works for him might destroy me. What works for me might bore him to death. But we're both building, just differently.

So it's time to stop copying someone else. Their advantages, personality, and path aren't yours.

Build in the way that makes sense for you.

What founder advice have you stopped following?

We helped a founder get meetings with a lot of investors.
But we didn’t do it overnight.

Took 6 months of strategic positioning while our client was busy building product. 

Most founders do this backwards:
Build product → Scramble for investors → Cold outreach → Get ignored

We flipped it: Here's what we did over 6 months 

Positioning:
- Every post curated for two audiences - Product ICP and Investors
- Built credibility before reaching out

Distribution:
- Used LinkedIn as the main channel
- Consistent content while client built the product

Outreach:
- Built a lead list of right-fit investors
- Reached out on LinkedIn and Email
- When investors checked the profile, credibility was already there

Result: Many investors said yes to meetings.

The founder focused on building while we focused on positioning.

What's your approach to investor outreach?

“Do or Do not. There is no try."

Heard Yoda saying this? Simple lesson, powerful truth.

When you say "I'll try," you've already given yourself permission to fail. 

You're hedging, keeping one foot out the door. Protecting yourself from disappointment.

But building something meaningful doesn't work that way.

You can't "try" to raise funding.
You can't "try" to land that client.
You can't "try" to build a company.

You either commit fully or you don't.
Halfway commitment gets you halfway results.

And halfway results get you nowhere.

The moment you say "I'll try," you've already decided it's okay if it doesn't work out.

You've built in the excuse before you've even started.

But when you say "I will," something shifts.

You're all in.
No backup plan.
No safety net.
No hedging your bets.

That's when things actually move.

Not because you're more talented or got lucky.
Because you committed.

Fully. Completely. Without the "try."

So stop trying.
Either do it or don't.

But don't waste time pretending halfway counts.
Are you in or are you out?

I had no clue what to do when I was 22 or what I'm doing at 30.
The only constant? I keep trying.

what I've realized is you'll never fully figure out what you want in life. That's not how it works.

You just do one of two things - what keeps you happy or what keeps you financially stable.

If you're lucky, you find something that does both.

Most people spend their entire lives 
- waiting to "figure it out" before they start. 
- waiting for clarity that never comes. 
- waiting for the perfect moment that doesn't exist.

But clarity doesn't come from thinking. It comes from doing.

I didn't figure out I wanted to build an agency by planning. I figured it out by trying freelancing, failing at e-commerce, jumping between jobs.

Each venture taught me what I didn't want. 
Each attempt brought me closer to what actually works for me.

The people who seem like they have it figured out? They don't. They just committed to something and stuck with it long enough to get good at it.

There's no grand plan. There's no moment of perfect clarity.

There's just trying things, seeing what sticks, and being grateful when something makes you both happy and stable.

Thank god for the people in my life who supported me while I figured this out.

What are you still trying to figure out?

Founders should stop running business on hope 
because hope is not strategy 

Hoping that next pitch will close
Hoping revenue picks up next quarter
Hoping the team figures things out on their own
Hoping problems solve themselves if you wait long enough

Hope feels productive because it's optimistic. But it's just procrastination dressed up as patience.

Real strategy is different.

Strategy means making the hard calls you've been avoiding or having uncomfortable conversations. 

Admitting what's not working and changing what's clearly broken is strategy. That’s how it is done. 

Hope says "Let's wait and see."
Strategy says "Here's exactly what we're doing and by when."

I've run on hope before. Watched runway burn while hoping things would turn around. Delayed difficult decisions hoping they'd become easier.

They never did.

Stop hoping your business gets better.
Start building the systems that make it better.

What decision have you been hoping would resolve itself?

My biggest fear is "people are watching."
Agree or not, most of us have the same fear.

That's what stops us:
From saying what we actually think. 
From posting what we truly believe. 
From doing the crazy things we've always wanted to.

Lately I realized 
People are watching anyway.

Even when you're doing nothing. 
Even when you're playing it safe. 
Even when you're hiding.

They're still watching.

So if they're going to watch regardless, might as well do something worth watching.

The fear doesn't go away. You just stop letting it decide for you.
