Financial and Commercial responsibility for the company which had 40 physical stores when I left (we opened 15 new stores during my tenure) and an e-Commerce business. I reported to the CEO, South East Asia, and was part of the Global Purchasing team.

In my role as General Manager, I had full Financial and Commercial responsibility for the Beverage and Foods businesses in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Mongolia, and the Pacific Islands. As the franchisor for PepsiCo’s beverage brands, I worked closely with bottlers to ensure that projects make financial sense for all parties.

Recognized internally by PepsiCo (2014 PepsiCo Harvey C. Russell Award), and externally by TalentCorp, a Malaysian government agency (TalentCorp Life@Work Award), as a Diversity & Inclusion champion

I was the first Malaysian and first woman to hold this position at PepsiCo Malaysia.

General Manager - Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Mongolia & Pacific Islands (MAPS)

While continuing to manage the Marketing function, I was given the extra responsibility of overseeing the Sales team. Reporting to me in Sales are the Head of Sales and a team of approximately fifty sales personnel. 

Repositioned Quaker beyond Heart Health to gain a bigger share of consumers, and was awarded the PepsiCo Asia Pacific Performance with Purpose (PwP) Award for Human Sustainability.

I was a judge at the Malaysia EFFIE Awards in 2012 and 2013 and was inducted into the “CMO Circle” as one of the top Marketers in the country by MARKETING Magazine in 2012. 

On the Diversity & Inclusion front, I attended the Women in Leadership Forum, in which PepsiCo Asia Pacific won the Award for the Most Women Friendly Company in Asia Pacific. I also participated in PepsiCo Asia Pacific’s Powerful Woman program.

I was interviewed by ACCA-TalentCorp Malaysia for an article on “50 Champions Agenda in Retaining Women in the Workforce”.

As Head of Marketing, I reported to the General Manager and was in charge of Marketing for Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Mongolia and the Pacific Islands. I sat on the local Executive Committee and was part of the Marketing Leadership team for the North and South Asia Business Unit. 

Key brands that I was responsible for included Pepsi, 7 Up, Mountain Dew, Mirinda and Revive Isotonic for carbonated soft drinks; Tropicana, Gatorade and Lipton Ice Tea for non-carbonated beverages; and Quaker oats, Lay’s and Ruffles potato chips for Foods.

I won a bronze EFFIE Award for Marketing Excellence in 2011 for the Quaker “Make Malaysia Heart-Healthy” campaign.

Jocelyn Ng is an experienced senior executive and Board Director. After holding leadership roles in various multinational companies, she now serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director on two Boards in Malaysia, namely BOH Plantations Sendirian Berhad and Farm Fresh Berhad.  

She was the first Malaysian and first woman to be appointed Chief Operating Officer of UNIQLO Malaysia, where she served from March 2015 to July 2017. Prior to that, she was the first Malaysian and first woman to be appointed General Manager of PepsiCo Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Mongolia and the Pacific Islands. Before entering general management, she spent most of her career in marketing for companies such as PepsiCo, Danone, JT International, and British American Tobacco. 

She has won a number of marketing and branding awards, including two Malaysian EFFIE awards. She was also named one of the Top 50 CMOs in Malaysia by MARKETING Magazine in 2013.

Jocelyn strongly believes that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) fosters creativity and dialogue, and drives sustainable growth. She led PepsiCo Malaysia to win the 2014 TalentCorp Life@Work Award (Lean Organisation), and the 2014 PepsiCo Harvey C. Russell Award for Diversity and Inclusion. 

She successfully completed the Women Directors Programme: Building the Foundation, conducted by Lead Women and Malaysian Directors Academy (MINDA) in 2016, the 30% Club Board Mentoring Programme in 2018, Bursa Malaysia / Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia’s Mandatory Accreditation Programme in 2022, and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia. 

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Waterloo in Canada, and a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Jocelyn is determined to never stop learning and regularly attends Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes.
