My job is seeking savage startups in the early stage (pre-seed, seed, series A) within the CEE region. 

When I was 17 years old, I started day trading, It never went well, and after a while, I realized I didn't want to play a zero-sum game. What value do you provide to the world as a day trader? Well, the answer is none. 

Then I switched my focus to the stock market and investing. However, a similar problem occurred. The money you invest in a publicly listed company goes to the investor selling them to you, not the company, for further growth. So, not for me either. 

Since I was still fascinated by entrepreneurship (my favorite book is Tomas Bata's biography) and investments, I switched my focus to venture capital. This is the place where the magic happens folks!

Apple, Facebook, Google and many other most influential firms used to be startups. These companies raised funds from venture capital and angel investors (disclaimer: VCs and angels just helped pursue the ideas, real heroes are the founders). 

Without Apple, we might still be using push-button phones. Can you imagine that?
