2 weeks ago, a started a new side-business. Here's an update:

For context:

I’ve started a physical business where I’ll be training students for IELTS. 

Questions I asked before launching:

- What is a proven problem in the market?
- Has steady demand... ideally till the end of time ;)
- Aligns with what I’m naturally good at.
- Can scale over time.
- And can eventually run without me.

So here’s how I’ve been approaching it:

1. First, I set up an Instagram account to start creating content, mostly educational posts, awareness pieces about what’s happening in the industry, and the gap I’m trying to fill.

2. Then I made a short introductory video, talking about my background, what I’m building, the kind of problems I’m solving, and where the business office is based.

3. I ran a small Instagram ad (just $30) targeted at my regional area to test the waters.

4. That ad started about 150 conversations, which was more than I expected for such a small test.

5. Meanwhile, I set up a small office + classroom to attend to people if they decide to visit.

5. After that, I hosted a mock class. A few people showed up, not a huge number but that's okay since there are bigger players in the market and I want to build a name first.

6. I cross-post with my other instagram account (18k) to borrow some credibility from it & so people can see I've done some stuff already (working with international agencies, building a remote career, my podcast, and running a business on LinkedIn)

Since then, I’ve been doubling down on two things:

1. Creating content to build digital presence.

2. Collaborating locally: I’ve partnered with a nearby café (pretty popular in the area) to host a free in-person event/workshop for this upcoming Tuesday.

The goal of the free workshop is to nurture the old leads, attract new ones, and make this business a familiar, trusted name in the region.

I like to think of Granatus as my best project so far, mainly because it's a complete failure.
Founding Granatus and utterly failing at landing customers led me to key insights which serve me well in any project now. 

1. Start with WHY 

Marketing, SMM, Being an influencer, all of these have been pretty vivid trends for the last few years. The rumor and the proof that you can make money in these fields spread quick enough for everyone and their grandmas to hop on the ambiguous  and crowded stage of "success".  I was among them. What I didn't consider was that my initial excitement would soon fade away and I'd be left off with another chore I wasn't willing to complete. 


2. Re-establish your values. 

How do I want to contribute to the society I live in? 
What is the sphere that I feel like I belong to and am extremely eager to develop?
What is my society lacking?
These were the questions I had to ask myself over and over to finally arrive on my answer - Education. 
I love to do a lot of things - writing, pottery, drawing, learning languages, questioning my and others' beliefs and values. 
My mission was now clear: to combine my passion, skills and determination  and bring them to the Education sphere. 

3. The only true education is re-learning and un-learning. 

The methods we are using now in teaching, business, medicine haven't been present a few decades ago. Same for the methods we'll be using tomorrow. Hence, it's important to give space to alternative, unconventional education and learning, to constantly challenge the mind which subsequently fosters evolution.
I always remind myself that I might not be right. This in fact makes me more confident in myself, knowing that I have enough trust in my vision to be flexible with it, to find alternative ways of achieving it, to collaborate with people who're better at it.

FAR is an American-Armenian NGO that provides aid for the people in Armenia, Artsakh and Javakhk in the areas of education, child protection, economic development, healthcare and social services. 
Volunteering at FAR gave me a great opportunity to enhance my abilities as a storyteller and bring fascinating life stories of various people to the public. 

My role as a volunteer was to conduct interviews with doctors, including pediatricians and pediatric neurologists. The interviews were focused not only on what the professionals gained from a certain training which was funded by FAR, but also their life stories and choices that led them to where they were at the time. 

Volunteering at FAR introduced me to the world of humanitarian aid and thinking beyond oneself. I also got to know countless people and professionals, who were heroes in their field.

Kond is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the center of Yerevan. The conditions of the block are below average which makes the lives of the residents tough to deal with. Despite the disturbing conditions, many of the residents still refuse to leave the neighborhood even when they have the opportunity.
Me and two of my friends decided to find out why.

"Humans of Kond" was a project that me and two of my peers created in the frames of our Oral History class at AUA. During the project each of us interviewed one family from Kond to learn their life story, where they come from and most importantly what's holding them in Kond. 

As a final product, we presented the stories to the class and to a guest Oral Historian from France. 

What started as a class project extended into learning to value one's past, the importance of place and memories and building friendships with people we probably wouldn't have met otherwise.

Study for Success  (SFS) is a private language school based in Yerevan, Armenia. In 2017 I made my first steps in the English teaching field at SFS. What initially started as a part-time job, turned into a full-time passion. I was able to leverage my curiosity towards teaching and put my education in the Communication sphere into practice. 

The vast age range and diversity of people in terms of personal & professional background, character, motives of learning English have taught me how to craft a unique approach towards each and every individual. 

By closely observing my mentor and colleagues, I extracted the proven techniques of
- crafting lesson plan to meet the individual's objectives
- dealing with miscommunication and conflict among students, as well as among students and the teacher
- giving a constructive feedback
- combining education and fun, thus making the former more effective.

From being an instructor to a group of 5 year olds to eventually teaching young adults, adults and even the elderly, SFS gave me the perfect opportunity to put the theories I've learned on Communication, English and Conflict Resolution into practice.

B2B math is wild.

You can post for six months straight about “value,” “storytelling,” and “thought leadership”… and still lose a deal because someone on the buyer side couldn’t explain your product to Finance in under 14 seconds.

You can have a case study with 200% ROI… and procurement will still go with the vendor who promises the same thing for half the price and twice the risk.

You can have the perfect ICP…and they’ll still ask for “one more demo” because an intern forwarded them a competitor’s landing page.

You can have a warm champion…and they’ll still disappear the moment Legal asks, “Who exactly is owning implementation here?”

B2B is not logical, or linear, and it definitely isn’t “top-of-funnel → nurture → close.”

The only math that ever works is this:

Can someone inside the buyer’s company defend your product without you in the room?

If the answer is yes, the deal moves. If the answer is no, the deal evaporates.
Simple as that.

I ghostwrite for B2B founders ($5M-$15M ARR) who want to turn their expertise into authority and inbound leads

If I were a CMO at a $5M SaaS startup who had to pull $2M down the pipeline before mid-2026, here’s exactly how I’d defend my quarterly enterprise forecast on LinkedIn.

1/ I would rebuild the founder’s profile to sound like someone who can carry a million-dollar implementation without flinching.

The fastest way to kill a deal is a founder whose voice still reads like a pitch deck. Buyers don’t trust vision, all they're looking for is operational control.

So I would make sure every post from the founder signals an ability to protect a buyer’s forecast, navigate internal politics, and absorb complexity without slowing their team down.

2/ I would write content that a CFO can forward as budget justification.

Most SaaS content speaks to attention, neglecting approval. Enterprise buyers need internal logic to start trusting you/your solution.

I would publish examples of risk avoided, time protected, margin preserved, and implementation stabilized. If a buyer can use your post to defend a line item before Finance pushes back, the deal is going to move closer to the signing line.

3/ I would turn every client win into a revenue event.

If churn dropped twenty-eight percent, I would articulate the operational chain behind that outcome, who benefited, who got political cover, and what it meant for the next quarter.

Every result becomes a weapon for the next buyer’s internal argument.

4/ I would sync the sales and marketing language relentlessly, through messaging.

Whatever line Sales uses to close the final ten percent of the deal becomes the spine of every post. 

If you want to remove friction, focus on removing resistance. That's when you can pull $2M down the pipeline.

The more your content acts as a frictionless handoff between awareness and approval, the faster enterprise deals move.

B2B teams, if you want to start next week with momentum, do this on Sunday:

Audit the sentences your Sales team uses to close deals, and rebuild your content around them.

Most CMOs write for attention, revenue teams write for movement. Somewhere between those two worlds, your pipeline stalls.

This is the simplest fix I know:

1/ Look at the last three deals your team closed.
2/ Identify the exact line that flipped the buyer from “maybe” to “we’re in.”
3/ Turn that line into 3 LinkedIn posts next week: one story, one insight, one proof example.

Why it works:

Buyers pay attention to content that mirrors the language they already trust.
Your job is to reduce friction, but you're focused on creating demand.

Start your week with alignment,  and the pipeline moves faster without spending a dollar more.

There’s no such thing as a boring industry. If what you’re doing makes someone else’s life easier, faster, cheaper, or better in any measurable way, it’s already worth talking about. It’s worthy of a headline, a story, a post.

The problem isn’t that your product isn’t exciting. It’s that you’ve stopped seeing it through the eyes of the people who actually use it.

To the outside world, logistics looks dull. To a warehouse manager who can finally sleep because your software reduced errors by 80%, it’s a miracle.

Accounting sounds tedious... until you talk to a founder who no longer loses weekends fixing invoicing mistakes.

Even the most unglamorous B2B tool has a hero buried somewhere in its story,  someone whose life got just a little bit easier because of it.

But most brands don’t tell that story, they talk in abstractions.

They say “optimized workflows” instead of “three hours back in your day.”
“End-to-end solutions” instead of “we saved a business on the brink.”

Seth Godin once said marketing is a generous act, it’s the act of helping someone solve their problem and telling others about it.

That’s your job. 

To tell it again and again until someone who needs it hears you. Because if your work makes someone else’s world run smoother, it’s not boring, it's essential.
