Responsible for creating a zero-defect quality culture through management tools and in accordance with the company's values. It must be the entity that seeks to create, plan and coordinate new product and process developments, ensure and comply with product quality and/or satisfy customer needs. Leads the processes necessary for the certification of the integrated management system.

Quality & Initiatives Manager

Responsible for the definition of the technical aspects of the products and business processes, ranging from the definition of raw materials and packaging to be used in the products, the technical specifications of the finished products and market products, and the development of new products according to requirements of internal and external customers. Responsible for providing technical support to the administration of the different regions where the products are marketed, and technically managing the definition of supply chain plans to meet the requirements of customers in each region.

Technical Manager

Responsible for developing the area of Quality Assurance and Research and Development at the plant in Chile. Responsible for managing laboratory operations, leading, evaluating and coordinating the work of the quality assurance team directly. Responsible for supporting the continuous improvement of the operation through Lean methodologies, and providing technical support to the commercial areas of the company. Responsible for supporting the operation in business continuity plans, assuming periods as interim Plant Manager and interim Production Supervisor.

Supply Planning Process Analyst, responsible of balancing material supply to fulfill customers’ needs and maintain adequate inventory levels, by means of detailed analysis of data to understand inventory trends, and the coordination with all areas to ensure continuity of supply.

•	Balance Demand Planning and Supply Planning Processes, including MPS, Capacity Planning, MRB inputs and New Products operational planning, in compliance with the TCCC’s requirements and SCE standards, to guarantee the timely supply of products to customers.
•	Manage resources to support material and production planning together with Operations area and CRM (i.e.: Planning process, Information Logistics, Demand and New Products processes, Procurement, etc)

Development Engineer in charge of implementing the area of water treatment in the division of projects of the company, by means of the integrated management of the business through the design, implementation and monitoring of projects in the mining, aquaculture and industry in general.

•	To develop products and solutions in the area of water treatment, ensuring water quality according to customer and/or legal normative specifications, focused in mining, industrial and aquaculture markets.
•	To develop national and international suppliers according to the needs of the projects.
•	To provide technical support, mainly in terms of the chemistry background necessary to ensure water quality, and other engineering terms for the sales force and customers.
•	Supervision of the installation, start-up and quality assurance of the solutions provided to customers.

Development Engineer

Bio Light S.A.

Support Engineer in charge of technical support in Engineering, Quality Control, Production and Sales of Bio Light S.A., and project manager of the ozone area.

•	To carry out studies and field testing of technologies for specific applications and / or equipment sold by Bio Light SA.
•	Supervision of the installation of equipment for water disinfection (UV, ozone and filtration).
•	Management of engineering projects, in terms of performance and costs.
•	Implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System according to ISO 9001:2000.

My name is German Carpenter. I am a bilingual professional with more than 15 years of experience in the development of people and processes, leading high-performance work teams and improving processes through the use of Lean methodologies and the implementation of ISO standards.

✅ 270% increase in laboratory analysis capacity and 60% reduction in quality control cycle times for products manufactured at the production plant.
✅ Reduction of variability in the production process, managing to go from 90% to 98% of Batch approved at the first attempt.
✅ Leadership in the successful implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, DMAIC, VSM, A3, Drill Down Tree, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, etc.) to reduce waste in operations (>600 hours saved in production of 2 products), and to find and eliminate root causes of operational problems (>30,000 Gallons of product successfully recovered, avoiding 100% of possible losses).
✅ Local development of more than 1,200 versions of paint component formulations, and more than 100 SKUs of finished products in store.
✅ Local implementation of analysis methodologies based on international standards (mainly ASTM and NTC) to expand the marketing of paints based on components manufactured in the Santiago plant to 4 new markets (Brazil, Colombia, France and Mexico), in addition to the start-up of the quality control laboratory in a new component production plant in Sao Paulo, Brazil (2017-2018).
✅ Stand out as a leader at the LA level in the Supply Chain area, giving support to the operation in Argentina and giving training to improve the knowledge of my peers in Costa Rica.
