Grabbed my morning Pret (yes, the subscription lives on ☕).

And it hit me — again — why they nailed it:

You don’t keep customers loyal with discounts.

You keep them loyal by making their life easier.

Predictability. Convenience. Habit.

It’s not sexy, but it’s sticky.

For ecommerce brands, your “subscription” might be:
1) refill reminders
2) 1‑click top‑ups
3) personal reorder nudges - “hey, we saved your favourite bundle”

Nike just opened a herbal soup shop in Guangzhou. 

Partnering with sprinter Su Bingtian, Nike launched “Cantonese Songyuan”.

A pop-up on Ersha Island, a true runner’s hub, offering locals post-run fuel.

The concept taps into Cantonese slang for “no effort goes unrewarded.” 

Blending the endurance of running with the slow craft of traditional soup. 

A creative, smart, hyper-local and unexpected activation from Nike. 

Definitely the type of activation that would be memorable.
