Friendly reminder…

If your commercial real estate deal isn’t set to close by December 20, there’s a good chance it won’t close in 2025.

Here’s why:

Banks slow down.
Underwriters take time off.
Title companies run short staff.
Year-end files get priority.
New deals get pushed into January.

And once you roll into January?

Everything takes longer.
Your deal gets stuck behind everyone who waited too long.

What people don’t see is how fast the industry slows down.

Underwriting, appraisal, compliance, title everything moves differently this time of year.

Knowing these patterns helps you avoid unnecessary delays.

A 36-hour Thanksgiving flight delay definitely wasn’t part of the plan but we still made it back to Chicago. 

Sometimes the journey tests you, but you keep moving forward.
