As SWAT Commander, I supervised a 26 Operator SWAT Team including operators, snipers, and medics. I was responsible for tactical command during critical incidents such as hostage situations, barricaded subjects, and high-risk search and arrest warrants. Additionally, I led tactical training sessions for SWAT Operators and patrol officers in operational planning, policy creation and review, and budgeting. As a part of my role, I successfully ran a tactical team involved in the  2017 Ft. Lauderdale Airport shooting and provided active shooter training for over 1,500 law enforcement officers and civilians. Additionally, I was tasked with creating security plans for large events, coordinating and conducting security details for political figures, and conducting security and threat assessments for private organizations such as businesses, hospitals, schools, and houses of worship.

Another key responsibility was the planning and operating of large-scale events for the city, such as parades and holiday celebration events. This required working with stakeholders, administration, and the public to ensure the event was safe and ran efficiently. 

As the Supervisor of the Street Crime Unit, I developed extensive experience in long and short-term investigations relating to narcotics, prostitution, human trafficking, robbery, burglary, and fugitive apprehension. I oversaw daily operations, monitored officer performance, and implemented strategies to enhance the department’s efficiency, including budgets, inventory, and special reports.

•	Responsible for 9 domestic airports and the JetBlue Travel Product Center, totaling more than $1B+ in aircraft and $10M in equipment. 
•	Conducted 150+ investigations into employee misconduct, assaults on employees, theft, drug trafficking, administrative violations, and others.  
•	Identified and significantly reduced employee and customer theft, leading to the termination of 5+ employees for credit card theft, numerous individuals arrested, and the recovery of $50K in personal property. 
•	Successfully addressed and mitigated a proposed $3M TSA penalty for regulatory compliance violations. 
•	Led 50+ emergency response events for hurricanes targeting Florida and Puerto Rico, the pandemic, and on-board incidents of violence. Participated in 10+ exercises for the public and private sector. 
•	Facilitated and expanded the JetBlue Safe Schools program, providing active shooter and threat assessment training in schools, delivering the program to over 2K participants in 2019. 
•	Executed active shooter, threat recognition and workplace violence training classes for 1K+ JetBlue employees and vendors.  
•	Conducted vendor due diligence investigations and identified significant security violations, leading to the cancellation of multiple contracts. 
•	Led and carried out formal security audits, leading to early warning discovery of deficiencies before it could result in letters of investigations or civil penalties.
•	Created public-private partnerships and partnered with law enforcement to allow realistic simulations to be run on aircraft.  
•	Participated in the corporate Threat Assessment Team, in partnership with the JetBlue People Department and Legal. Responded to 15+ activations requiring emergency assistance, and on at least two occasions was able to successfully prevent an employee from harming themselves.
