When I started posting consistently on LinkedIn, I wasn’t sure exactly where this would take me.

I just had thoughts I wanted to share and conversations I wanted to have.

So to celebrate 10k, here are 10 things I’ve learned so far:
(learned from all of you amazing people!)

1. Consistency is vital.
2. Clarity is also super super super vital.
3. Most people are faking it til they make it. So you might as well too!
4. It’s way better to be real than performative.
5. If something feels off work-wise, reevaluate your systems immediately. 
6. Your voice is your leverage (online and in-person)
7. The internet rewards courage.
8. You don’t need everyone. You just need your people.
9. There isn’t a perfect time to start, but earlier is better.
10. People remember how you make them feel more than what you said. (in content, leadership, sales, friendships, etc)

Think of it as just teaching a new team member.

1. Define the goal
What do you want the agent to do?
Example: “draft weekly LinkedIn posts based on top-performing content”

2. Gather the knowledge
Feed the agent examples, guides, or reference materials
Example: past posts, brand voice guidelines, content templates

3. Set rules and constraints
Define limits and standards
Example: tone, format, style, ethical boundaries

4. Simulate tasks

Review outputs, give feedback, update knowledge and rules

Don’t fall for every shiny new tool!

Here’s how to save time/$$ for the ones that actually matter:

New AI tools launch every day.
It’s easy to chase trends + feel like you’re falling behind.

So stop. 
Start with a simple filter.

Ask yourself three questions before adopting a tool:

1. Does it solve a real problem?
If it’s a novelty, skip it.
Focus on tools that remove invisible labor or scale your output.

2. Does it fit your workflow?
A tool is only valuable if your team can actually use it consistently.
Check integrations, ease of adoption, learning curve.

3. Does it multiply impact, not just speed?
Does it give more output, better decisions, or reclaimed time?
Avoid tools that only make small tasks slightly faster.

The filter:
Problem → Workflow → Impact

Use this as a mental checklist before trying every shiny new tool.
Your time is more valuable than hype!!

Evaluating AI Tools Effectively

Everyone is wondering how to grow on LinkedIn in 2026.

Many don’t like this honest answer I give:

Be super real. On purpose.

Behind the scenes wins here!
Messy moments, how decisions actually get made, the real day-by-day.

Your audience will connect w/ proof of humanity.

AI is everywhere right now, which means sounding impressive is no longer actually impressive.

(this is also hard when you have an English degree and your writing style naturally sounds like AI…)

But ultimately, if people can recognize your voice, values, perspective without seeing your name, you are winning.

That is how creators grow.
And how brands build trust.

How to make better biz decisions in 2026:

(and maximize your efforts w/ AI!)

AI can generate recommendations well, but humans must ultimately make the decisions.

To make better choices faster, use the Decision Surfaces model, a way to map all the factors that influence a decision.

Think of a decision surface as a mental map that shows:

- Inputs: the information or data points that matter
- Constraints: limits you must operate within (time, budget, resources)
- Trade-offs: the consequences of choosing one option over another

Visualizing these factors creates a “surface” where every possible option can be evaluated.

Example:
Deciding on a marketing campaign:
- Inputs: audience size, budget, past engagement
- Constraints: brand guidelines, launch deadlines
- Trade-offs: reach vs. cost, creativity vs. predictability

When you plot these, you can see which options are feasible, which are optimal, and where AI can help generate/rank possibilities.

How to use it w/ AI:

1. Define the decision you need to make
2. List all inputs, constraints, and trade-offs
3. Ask AI to generate options within this framework
4. Evaluate options against the surface to pick the best one

Thinking in decision surfaces turns AI from a magic box, into a decision amplifier, giving you better options faster while keeping humans in control.

If I had only 15 min a day for LinkedIn, here’s what I’d do:
(It's not write a post!)

When you are early in the game, the highest leverage activity on LinkedIn is not posting.
It is commenting + connecting.

Comments put you directly in front of the exact people you want to notice you.

Every strong comment:
- rides the distribution of someone else’s post
- shows up in their audience’s feed
- signals you are thoughtful and worthwhile

And timing matters more than people realize.
Commenting within the first hour of a post going live gives you massive impression leverage.
Wayy more than posting at random hours (ie scrolling in bed before sleep)

Then there are your connections.
LinkedIn doesn’t cap weekly connection requests just for fun.
They’re capped because they are extremely valuable.

Every new connection:
- puts your future posts in their feed
- opens a DM channel
- compounds over time

The simple daily playbook to get started:

1. 5 -10 thoughtful comments on posts from people you want in your orbit.
 Founders. Operators. Buyers. Creators. etc.
 Add perspective. Add experience. Add a real thought.

2. Then send a few high intent connection requests.
 Context matters here!!

Try this consistently for a month and see what happens.

Posting builds credibility.
Comments build visibility.
And early on, visibility wins.
