After serving 33 years retired as a Brigadier General. Appointed as the Director Infantry,  Army Headquarters of Bangladesh. As a director was generally responsible for the well-being of the corps of Infantry of Bangladesh Army. Evaluated, analyzed and proposed for new armament and equipment for infantry with a view to standardizing through a rigorous evaluation process. Planned and forecasted training need for the Infantry and monitored the induction process of the newly inducted weapon and equipment system. Experienced on  evaluation and technical survey of weapon and defence system.

Bangladesh Infantry Regiment Center (BIRC)

Commandant of BIRC, a military training center to train infantry officers and soldiers of Bangladesh Army. I was also responsible to plan, coordinate and monitor the execution of career planning of all serving infantry personnel as per laid down policy. I used to oversee the welfare, rehabilitation and reservist issues of the retired infantry persons. I was also responsible for the security of the entire military base I commanded including the armament and munitions, and ensure smooth provisioning of logistics for the men placed under my command.

As a head of intelligence ensured Armed Forces' security through monitoring, surveillance, analysis including cyber monitoring. Additionally, was responsible to provide covert security to high-level dignitaries and VVIPs both from home and abroad. Conducted threat assessment of various important sensitive government institutions and suggest security measures to the competent authority. Provided intelligence assessments on issues of national importance.

Detachment Commander

Commanded an Infantry Brigade which was deployed for an operational role. As a military commander was responsible for training, operational readiness, routine and personnel administration and personal and base security. I had to ensure logistics support for the entire outfit including men, materials, armaments, munitions, and equipment. During my tenure of duty, I was responsible to provide security to the Buddhist minority group and monitor the state-sponsored reconstruction and development works of the worship places which were vandalized during a communal clash in 2012.

United Nations Operation in Cote De I'voire

Employed as UN peacekeeper at ONUCI between December 2009 to February 2011. Worked as a military observer to monitor the adherence of the armistice agreements between two conflicting groups and prevented the resurgence of violence to avoid human suffering. Worked to ensure the development project of the population through observation and proposing for new projects. Was also appointed as the Team Leader of a Team Site to lead a team of observers from seven different countries. Finally, was appointed as Staff officer at Forces Headquarters, Sebreco as the Head of Military Conducts at the Military Operations Center.
