Not one person's actions have anything to do with yours, and for damn sure it should have no impact on your own confidence.

The world is full of talkers who complain and envy doers. 

You wanna win … you have to f*cking grind … you have to “rough it” … now what?

Roll up on that business idea and give it a shot, make it happen. Being 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, and having regrets that you didn't swing the bat? That's the worst of them all. 

Our at-bat is in front of us. Take a swing!

People don’t get that kindness is the best business strategy.

As I go through my own life, I’m realizing more and more how kindness is such a big part of the equation. It’s not just about sales and negotiation. It’s not just about doing what you love. It’s not just about hustle.

That’s why It breaks my heart that so many people think “nice guys finish last.”

If you give value to someone else first in business, you have the leverage. I truly believe that.

There's so much talk … so little consistent doing. 

Talking sh*t about anyone, even your competitors, is a waste of your time...and talking bad about someone else doesn’t make your life better 💜

Give yourself a little grace .. there is no figuring it out .. there's just enjoyment of the process.

Life is longer than they tell you kids … and if you deploy intention and patience along with an ability to tune “them” out …. You will live a much more joyful life 

Give yourself grace. Don’t be lazy or complacent, but be patient and thoughtful.

I’m gonna draw it out for you all …. whose permission are you waiting for?

Community is the last great asset.

When you play out all these chess in your life, it's going to be the only thing left. The people who care about you and the people you care about...they are the ones who will open up the doors in your career -- and in your life.

I'll always bet on that, and I believe that to the end.

Don’t waste energy

Too many over focus on non controllable aspects of life!

HR has become a bad guy in so many corporations, but it doesn't have to be that way!

At Vayner, the Chief Heart Officer, Claude Silver, can stop the CFO from firing someone. 

Even if someone's "hard skills" are a C minus...if their human skills are an A plus, the collateral value trickles throughout the organization.

One of the great missteps of society over the last half century is us losing our way with understanding the value of the generations above us...

Their wisdom, their understanding, their stories. This little move I talk about in this video might change the course of someone's life... and I hope that someone actually considers it and takes action. 

Doing wonderful things for people is always a good idea but when you do it, and in return it actually brings you even more value not just for your soul but for your perspective and maybe remapping the way you see the world is something I wish for all of you.

If you want shit to change, one of the quickest ways to do it is to change the people you're hanging out (or working) with. Changing who you hang out with can make a big difference in your life.

You’re in control … and when you have the courage to choose you … everything changes

I hope you look back when you're 90 and know you've made a difference. 

So many of you will choose your careers and what you spend your life on because of your parents wishes or pushes when deep down you know it’s not right for you … 

....I have a secret for you … if you truly adore and respect and love your parents, you’re better off fighting it out now because you don’t want to end up like the millions of people who regret and dwell on listening to their folks and now find themselves deeply unhappy in their day to days … send this to a kid or a parent that needs it.

Respecting what you can't control brings a lot more happiness and joy!!

Believe in yourself. Surround yourself with others who do. You're capable ... I believe in you. 

We make up these scenarios in our minds about what will happen … Go for it with everything you got.

I don’t even know if my company, VaynerMedia, looks at resumes. I sure don’t.

I hire SVPs and VPs — I did two interviews the other day — and I have no clue where any candidate worked or what college they went to.

Now, do college degrees matter? Yes, of course there are several professions where you need a college degree & many others who only hire from the Ivies, but it's not the standard for everyone anymore.

My company is a real legit company—the hottest Madison Avenue agency out there—we don't even require a college degree. I couldn't tell you what college 99% of my employees went to...

I have no f*cking clue. It doesn't matter. And by the way, other, real companies are taking it out of the equation too. Some of the best engineers ... these kids today are saying, "F*ck college! I'm going to make millions by building a little app."

It's becoming like sports out here. Nobody gave a f*ck that LeBron didn't go to college ... so I think businesses are starting to become like sports...

Talk to me about your TALENT, not about what box you check ✅

Don’t get me wrong: ideas and thoughts are nice. They’re great.

I always say, ‘ideas are sh*t, execution is the game.’ And a lot of people get mad at me when I say that sometimes, because a great idea can be hard to come by. And they’re not wrong.

But there are so many great ideas. So many of them. There are way less great executions. Because execution is hard.

I teach people how to scroll less and connect more. 

For 15+ years, I've worked in digital literacy education - reaching 10,000+ families through Smart Digital Kids LLC and bringing Cyber Civics curriculum to schools in 48 states. 

I've seen firsthand what happens when technology serves profit over people, especially in social media's impact on families and mental health.

So I decided to build the alternative.

I'm the founder and CEO of DuoFeed - social media without the noise, designed for close connections and local interests. As a non-technical founder, I learned to code using AI tools and built our MVP in 90 days. 

Now I'm leading a community of 75+ beta testers who are helping us create social media that actually serves users.

I have a PhD in Educational Leadership & Technology from the University of Kansas. I'm also a grandmother concerned for my granddaughter's future, which keeps me grounded in why this work matters - we're building healthier technology for the next generation.

Before DuoFeed, I spent nearly a decade as a high school and middle school teacher, college instructor, and substitute educator, plus two decades helping families navigate the digital world through workshops, curriculum development, and community education.

I paid business taxes today for the first time.

Delaware franchise tax. Shares issued: zero. Still had to figure out what that meant legally, financially, and practically – all on my own.

I thought by now I'd have funding. Shares issued. A team. That's not where I am.

What surprised me wasn't the tax. It was the voice in my head – the one from childhood that says 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴. Learned helplessness creeps in. Even now. Even after everything I've built.

Running a company is real. It means being responsible for everything: the legal questions, the financial decisions, the emotional weight of not knowing what you don't know. 

I turned to AI, like I always do. It gave me quick answers and organized the knowledge needed to tackle the task.

But it didn't sit with me in the uncertainty. It didn't offer a fist bump when I paid the taxes. It has no idea what this 𝘤𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘴 to carry.

That perspective is human.

And it's exactly why I'm building what I'm building.

100 Zoom meetings this year.

That's a lot of meetings—and that doesn't include the ones others scheduled with me.

On these calls (90% between July–December 2025) I met with interested technical leads and co-founders for DuoFeed.

And here I am again.

Almost two weeks of reaching out to connections, sending DMs.

This is the most challenging part so far.

Not building the product.

Not marketing to rally a crowd.

Not the late nights and down days when I'm doing the techie stuff alone.

Finding a team.

Finding one senior dev willing to work a part-time gig to make a difference in the world.

Everyone is busy.

AI is here promising to make everyone rich. The allure of building your own app for easy income is being swallowed hook, line, and sinker.

Non-technical founders are becoming developers overnight—there's no shortage of tools to choose from.

I'm not interested in the tools.

I've worked with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Lovable, Bolt, Cursor, Synthesia, Notion, and more.

Artificial Intelligence cannot act. It cannot provide the wisdom from experience of shipping an app. 

I need a courageous, curious, creative human.

Someone who has launched on the App Store and Google Play.

I need the right developer.

DuoFeed is a React Native / Expo social app preparing for Android launch. iOS is already live in TestFlight and Android is near AAB stage.

I’m specifically looking for someone who has:

 • Personally launched SaaS apps on both App Store and Play Store
 • Owned production backend (Postgres / Supabase / Firebase or similar)
 • Handled post-launch stabilization and real user traffic
 • Debugged auth, permissions, and database edge cases

Immediate scope (short release sprint):

 • Finalize Android build & Play external testing
 • Review Supabase (RLS + schema) for production readiness
 • Complete defined P1 onboarding changes
 • Support 1–2 weeks of post-launch bug triage

This is not a dev shop engagement. I’m looking for an experienced operator who has taken apps through launch and understands production responsibility.
