As a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) this role included:
Full responsibility for planning and executing marketing/promotion activities for key signature events: EY Performance Awards, Caribbean Entrepreneur of the Year (CEOY), and Business Outlook series;
Support of marketing and event coordination services to the Canada Barbados Business Association (CBBA) during investment promotion visits to various provinces in Canada.

Successfully realised a 50% saving on time spent managing and coordinating events, as well as a 25% reduction in spend, by successfully focusing on process improvements supported by more assertive negotiating on pricing especially related to coordinating trade shows, event registration processes, and liaising with local and international service providers.

 Zero breaches occurred in the bank as it relates to the remittance of payments for client transactions.  Reports submitted on the behalf of our Trinidad office were done timely and accurately which negated any inherent risks. 
 Key relationships with vendors guaranteed that service level agreements (SLAs) were met.
 Selected by management to coordinate management control processes for Barbados whereby processes, risks, and controls were identified to remove/reduce any reputational and operational risk to the Bank and its partners.

Transaction Analyst

Provided support to the Trinidad Branch in the area of Loan Documents and Processing.  Performed the below functions remotely ensuring smooth operation in the Market Operations Unit. Timely review and escalation of outstanding loan payments allowed the relevant Relationship Managers and Associates to manage client expectations as well as reduce internal franchise risk.

 Preparation of Past Due Obligations report (Offshore and Trade Finance): Informs Corporate Bank team of loans that have not been paid timely, interest as well as penalty interest that has been incurred
 Preparation of Weighted Average report - This is a regulatory report done daily and submitted to the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago. It ensured that the report was on time and done with accuracy.
 Audit confirmations – Reveals information on offshore and onshore loans for Trinidad clients for a requested period. Timely submission is adhered to as third parties such as auditors rely on the same to close their review of the client’s books. 
 Quarterly reports to the Finance Department – Encompassed all staff loans that remain outstanding quarter over quarter
 Loan queries, repricing, and Loan payments – Timely submission and processing are paramount as they can be detrimental to clients and the bank, if not handled with diligence.
 Manager Control Assessments – A review of all processes done within the Unit to ensure that risk and controls are reviewed and strengthened where applicable.

Opened and conducted maintenance on corporate accounts; Performed surprise cash counts (tellers); Security Custodian for Customer Collateral Security (Negotiable and Non-negotiable instruments); Conducted AML and Foreign Exchange compliance checks on FX and Money Market transactions

 Supported the operations team by ensuring that tellers followed protocol in executing client transactions
 Performed AML and compliance checks on source documents provided by clients to identify if the same required Central Bank review. This ensured that the Bank was not in breach of Exchange Control regulations.
 By opening and performing maintenance on corporate accounts, it remained an independent function that removed the risk of fraud due to toxic combinations (employee entitlements).
