Mentre mezzo internet ieri era in ginocchio per il down di Amazon Web Services (AWS), io ho ricevuto questo messaggio di churn.

Si hai letto bene. Non su Voxloud. Su Odoo.

Stamattina ho letto questo messaggio e ho pensato: "Perfetto, è esattamente quello che volevo."

Vi spiego perché.

Questo cliente rappresenta tutto ciò che Voxloud NON è più. Abbiamo fatto una scelta precisa: costruire il miglior sistema telefonico in cloud per team, non per singoli. 

E quando fai una scelta del genere, devi accettare che alcuni clienti non saranno più in target. Non puoi piacere a tutti se vuoi piacere TANTO a qualcuno di specifico.

Ma c'è una cosa che mi rende orgoglioso in questo churn.

Il cliente si lamenta perché siamo stati due mesi a cercare di aiutarlo su un'integrazione di Odoo che aveva smesso di funzionare dopo un loro aggiornamento. Due mesi. Su un problema che tecnicamente non ci competeva minimamente.

Sapete cosa significa questo?

Significa che in Voxloud abbiamo talmente alzato l'asticella del supporto che alcuni clienti - quelli più abituati male - arrivano addirittura a lamentarsi se non riusciamo a risolvergli problemi sul loro CRM.

È esagerato? Assolutamente sì.

Ma mi dà la dimensione di quanto siamo diventati un punto di riferimento per i nostri clienti.

Io e il mio socio Leonardo Coppola lo diciamo sempre ai nostri ragazzi: i clienti se la prendono con noi per tutto. Non perché siamo incompetenti, ma perché siamo gli unici che li ascoltano davvero.

Ieri mezzo internet era in down per AWS. Migliaia di aziende hanno ricevuto ticket su ticket per problemi che tecnicamente non erano loro. Esattamente come è successo a noi con questo cliente.

La differenza? Noi per due mesi ci abbiamo provato. Veramente.

E continueremo sempre così, perché è il segreto del nostro successo.

Anche quando significa ricevere churn per non aver risolto problemi su Odoo.

Nella vostra azienda, quanto andate oltre per aiutare i clienti? E soprattutto: avete il coraggio di accettare che non potete piacere a tutti?

Tutti parlano di Voice AI. Nessuno parla di cosa succede quando l'AI deve passare la palla a un umano.

Nelle ultime tre settimane ho ricevuto una valanga di chiamate da imprenditori che stanno esplorando la Voice AI. Tutti entusiasti, tutti convinti di aver trovato la soluzione per automatizzare la qualifica dei lead.

E va benissimo. Il fermento c'è, l'opportunità è pazzesca.

Ma poi arriva sempre quel momento in cui mi fanno la stessa domanda: "Ok, ma se un cliente ha un'emergenza e serve parlare con una persona vera, come funziona?"

Ed è lì che casca l'asino.

Perché la Voice AI da sola non risolve niente se poi non si integra con il tuo sistema legacy. Se non parla con il tuo centralino. Se non sa quando passare la chiamata a un umano nel modo giusto, al momento giusto.

Prendiamo l'esempio classico: un idraulico riceve 50 chiamate al giorno. La Voice AI filtra, qualifica, gestisce le prime domande. Perfetto. Ma quella chiamata alle 23:00 per l'allagamento in cantina? Quella deve arrivare dritta al telefono del titolare. Senza passaggi macchinosi. Senza che il cliente debba ripetere tutto da capo a un operatore umano.

E qui sta il punto.

Vedo decine di operatori che si stanno buttando sulla Voice AI senza avere la minima idea di come funzionano le telecomunicazioni aziendali. Pensano che basti mettere su un bot e il gioco è fatto.

La verità è che l'AI sblocca il suo vero potenziale solo quando si integra in modo trasparente nei flussi che esistono già. Quando non è un corpo estraneo, ma parte del sistema.

In Voxloud ci lavoriamo da anni. Non abbiamo incollato pezzi con Zapier o API esterne che si rompono ogni due giorni. Abbiamo costruito l'integrazione dall'origine. Voce, chat, social, AI. Tutto nativo. Tutto che parla la stessa lingua.

E questa, secondo me, sarà la nostra fortuna nei prossimi anni. Mentre altri correranno dietro al trend del momento, noi avremo già le fondamenta solide.

Tu come hai risolto il passaggio tra AI e operatore umano nella tua azienda?

Il motivo per cui l'AI non ci ha fatto licenziare nessuno (anzi)

Qualche mese fa in Voxloud abbiamo implementato l'AI per gestire il primo livello del nostro supporto clienti.

La domanda che tutti mi facevano era sempre la stessa: "Quante persone taglierete?"

La risposta? Nessuna.

Oggi quell'AI risolve il 50% delle richieste in autonomia. E sai cosa è successo al team?

Zero licenziamenti. Zero tagli. Ma soprattutto: persone più felici di prima.

Ti racconto una cosa che mi ha fatto capire tutto.

Qualche tempo fa avevo un manager del supporto che mi ripeteva ossessivamente che era impossibile scendere sotto il minuto di risposta. Impossibile. "È il limite fisico, Gabriele, non si può andare più veloci."

Abbiamo diviso le strade. Ho preferito continuare con persone che potessero condividere la visione di un supporto super reattivo ed efficace, senza dover assumere centinaia di persone per reggere i volumi.

Oggi mi arrabbio se capita di andare pochi secondi sopra il tempo di risposta. Pochi secondi. Perché ormai sono abituato a stare sempre sotto.

Come è possibile? L'AI risponde immediatamente e risolve metà delle richieste. Questo significa che il team può gestire più del doppio delle richieste rispetto a prima, a una velocità che prima era letteralmente impensabile.

Ma la vera magia non è questa.

Prima: le persone del team passavano ore a rispondere a "ho dimenticato la password" e "come si attiva questa funzione". Domande che dopo la centesima volta ti fanno venire voglia di cambiare mestiere.

Oggi: quelle stesse persone gestiscono solo i casi complessi. Fanno consulenza vera. Risolvono problemi che richiedono esperienza e intelligenza umana. E mentre lo fanno magari chiudono anche upsell e cross-sell che prima nemmeno vedevano perché erano sepolti dalle richieste base.

Tutti parlano di "efficienza" e "riduzione costi" quando si parla di AI.

Io ci vedo qualcosa di diverso: le revenue che crescono più velocemente dei costi del team. Persone che tornano motivate perché finalmente fanno un lavoro che conta davvero.

La regola è semplice: meno persone, ma più felici.

Non perché ne licenzi la metà. Ma perché quelle che hai le fai lavorare su attività a valore aggiunto. Su cose dove il loro cervello fa la differenza. Su assistenze complesse che portano a upsell e cross-sell invece che su "ho dimenticato la password" per la millesima volta.

L'AI non sostituisce le persone. L'AI libera le persone dall'essere loro stesse delle macchine.

Domanda per te: nel tuo team, quanto tempo viene ancora sprecato su attività ripetitive che potrebbero fare i bot? E cosa succederebbe se quel tempo fosse liberato per attività a vero valore aggiunto?

Stiamo spendendo migliaia di euro in marketing per sembrare Prada, poi il cliente chiama e risponde qualcuno che corre da un cantiere all'altro

Stamattina mi arriva un vocale WhatsApp da un potenziale partner.

Lavora con professionisti e piccole imprese. Gli crea siti fighissimi, brand da paura, presenza social curata. Roba che farebbe invidia a studi molto più grandi.

Poi mi dice una cosa che mi ha fatto sorridere: "Gabriele, sto spendendo non so quanto al giorno in advertising, faccio workshop con agenzie di marketing... e poi il cliente finale clicca 'Contattaci' e gli risponde il titolare che sta correndo tra un appuntamento e l'altro."

Zero filtro. Zero professionalità percepita. Zero coerenza con tutto il lavoro fatto prima.

Il problema non è il professionista. Il professionista è bravissimo a fare il suo mestiere.

Il problema è che quel professionista in alta stagione riceve 50 chiamate al giorno mentre sta lavorando con un cliente. E deve rispondere. Perché se non risponde, perde l'opportunità.

Risultato? Non lavora bene né con il cliente che ha davanti né al telefono. E intanto il brand premium che hai costruito con mesi di lavoro va a farsi benedire alla prima chiamata.

Mi ha fatto riflettere su una cosa.

Quante aziende oggi investono migliaia di euro in siti web, social media, advertising... e poi tutto crolla al primo touchpoint reale?

La telefonata è ancora il momento della verità. È lì che il cliente percepisce se sei una piccola bottega o un'azienda seria.

E non puoi pretendere che un imprenditore risponda sempre in modo impeccabile mentre sta gestendo il suo lavoro. Non è il suo mestiere rispondere al telefono come un call center.

La soluzione? Non assumere una segretaria che costa 2.000€ al mese.

La soluzione è un sistema che risponde per lui, filtra, qualifica, smista le urgenze vere dalle richieste che possono aspettare. Un sistema che mantiene il livello del brand anche quando lui è impegnato con un cliente.

In Voxloud lo vediamo ogni giorno. Imprenditori che finalmente possono concentrarsi sul loro lavoro sapendo che ogni chiamata viene gestita in modo professionale. Senza perdere opportunità. Senza impazzire.

Il marketing porta le persone alla porta. Ma se quando bussano gli apri in pigiama, hai buttato tutto.

Il motivo per cui il 90% delle implementazioni di Voice AI falliscono miseramente

Ieri mattina ho partecipato a una call di consulenza con un cliente che vuole implementare la Voice AI.

E per la prima volta dopo settimane di chiamate simili, ho assistito a qualcosa di diverso.

Il CEO mi ha interrotto dopo neanche 10 minuti per chiedermi i tempi esatti di implementazione. Non "quanto costa", non "cosa fa l'AI". I tempi. Quando parte, quando va live, quando inizia a rispondere alle chiamate.

Poi ha iniziato a snocciolare casistiche precise. Chiamate dall'amministrazione che devono andare su un interno. Richieste al DPO che vanno dirette a lui. Consulenze tecniche o commerciali che seguono un altro flusso. E se la linea è occupata? WhatsApp. Tranne per le chiamate della Procura, perché "un dipendente della Procura se gli dici ti mando su WhatsApp si spara."

La cosa più pazzesca? Aveva già 200 trascrizioni delle chiamate reali dal primo gennaio. Pronte. Da usare per addestrare l'AI. Non doveva registrare niente, non doveva "iniziare a tracciare i dati". Ce l'aveva già tutto.

Perché? Perché usa Voxloud da gennaio. E per lui tirare fuori quei dati è stato letteralmente un click. Zero ansia, zero "dobbiamo organizzarci", zero "fammi vedere se riesco a recuperare qualcosa". Click. Ecco le tue 200 trascrizioni.

Vi dico la verità. Nelle ultime tre settimane ho fatto decine di call simili. La maggior parte parte con "abbiamo sentito parlare di AI vocale" e finisce con "ma quindi sostituisce completamente gli operatori?"

Zero tempo perso in teoria. Solo pratica.

E questo è esattamente il motivo per cui il 90% delle implementazioni di Voice AI falliscono. Non perché la tecnologia non funziona. Ma perché le aziende partono dalla tecnologia invece che dal processo.

Pensano: "Compriamo l'AI e poi vediamo dove metterla."

Dovrebbero pensare: "Ho questi processi, questi colli di bottiglia, queste chiamate ripetitive. Dove l'AI può snellirmi il lavoro senza rompere tutto?"

Ma c'è un altro pezzo che nessuno dice. Per implementare bene la Voice AI hai bisogno dei dati. Non domani. Oggi. Serve sapere che tipo di chiamate ricevi, con quale frequenza, quali sono ripetitive, quali sono emergenze.

E se non hai un sistema che ti traccia già tutto questo, prima ancora di pensare all'AI dovresti pensare a costruire l'infrastruttura che ti permette di capire cosa sta succedendo nelle tue comunicazioni.

La differenza tra chi implementa l'AI con successo e chi spreca soldi è tutta qui. Non è questione di budget o di tool. È questione di sapere esattamente cosa vuoi risolvere prima ancora di comprare la soluzione. E di avere i dati per farlo.

Nella tua azienda, hai già mappato i processi dove l'AI può fare la differenza? E soprattutto: hai i dati per farlo o stai ancora navigando a vista?

L'AI conviene solo se hai tanti volumi? Spoiler: è esattamente il contrario.

Settimana scorsa ho avuto una call con una azienda relativamente giovane. Fatturato ancora sotto i 300k, team minuscolo, ogni euro conta.

Mi dice: "Gabriele, l'AI la implementeremo quando avremo più clienti. Ora non ne vale la pena."

Gli ho risposto: "Stai ragionando al contrario."

Perché se hai pochi clienti, hai poco fatturato. E se hai poco fatturato, hai poca cassa per assumere. Quindi ogni ora che passi a rispondere manualmente a richieste ripetitive è un'ora che rubi allo sviluppo prodotto, alle vendite, alla strategia.

Facciamo due conti veloci.

Secondo il report 2025 di Kruze Consulting su oltre 450 startup, un founder early stage (seed) guadagna in media $147.000 all'anno. Diviso per 2080 ore lavorative annue (40 ore/settimana x 52 settimane), fa circa 70 dollari l'ora.

E qui parliamo di startup americane. Se parli di una startup italiana, soprattutto se finanziata da VC italiani, stiamo parlando di stipendi decisamente molto più bassi (su questo tema avrei un libro da scrivere, ma non voglio andare off-topic..). Quindi mettiamo pure 35-40 euro l'ora per essere conservativi.

Ora, quanto costa una chat guidata dall'AI? Pochi centesimi per conversazione. Una Voice AI senza minimi garantiti? Anche fino a 60 centesimi al minuto per le implementazioni più sofisticate.

Capisci il punto?

Se passi 2 ore al giorno a gestire richieste che un'AI potrebbe gestire, stai bruciando almeno 70-80 euro di valore ogni giorno. Circa 1.500 euro al mese. 18.000 euro all'anno.

Con quei soldi paghi tranquillamente un sistema di Voice AI e Chat AI per gestire il 70% delle richieste ripetitive. E ti liberi 7 ore a settimana per fare quello che davvero muove l'ago: chiudere deal, sviluppare prodotto, costruire il team.

La questione non è "ho abbastanza volumi per giustificare l'AI". La questione è "posso permettermi di NON usare l'AI quando ogni ora conta il doppio?"

Quando sei piccolo, non puoi permetterti di sprecare tempo. L'AI non è un lusso per chi ha già scalato. È l'ancora di salvezza per chi deve ancora arrivarci.

Se sei agli inizi e stai rimandando l'automazione "a quando crescerai", stai facendo l'errore opposto. PIÙ sei piccolo, PIÙ ogni ora del tuo tempo vale oro.

Luigi ci scrive: "Ho pagato l'ultima fattura, mi potete riattivare le linee per favore?"

Mariana e Camila del team verificano il pagamento, coordinano la riattivazione su tutti i sistemi e in circa 7 minuti il cliente è di nuovo operativo. Rating 4/5.

Niente di straordinario, semplicemente il supporto che fa il suo lavoro. Ma guardando questi scambi mi è venuta un'idea.

Sto pensando di iniziare a condividere qui su LinkedIn una conversazione reale del nostro supporto ogni settimana (o ogni tanto).
Non per celebrarci, ma per aprire una discussione su temi concreti:

Cosa abbiamo fatto bene?
Dove potevamo fare meglio?
Come gestite situazioni simili nel vostro supporto?
Quali sono le sfide che incontrate quotidianamente?

Il supporto è spesso invisibile quando funziona, ma è ricco di situazioni che possono insegnarci molto.

When your vendor thinks partners are dumping grounds

This morning I got off a call that made me rethink how we treat partners at Voxloud.

A vendor I work with dropped a bomb. Overnight pricing change. New logic. New rules. "Starting tomorrow."

No heads-up. No transition plan. Just "deal with it."

Here's the thing they didn't get.

When they change their pricing model, they're not just changing my invoice. They're changing how I communicate with my customers. They're changing my sales training. They're changing my entire go-to-market strategy.

And I'm not the only one. There are other people out there who trusted them enough to build their business on top of their platform.

So when I told them "I can't sell this anymore because your pricing doesn't match the logic my customers understand," they said: "Don't worry, we'll give you free credits for a month."

They completely missed the point.

It's not about the money. It's about trust. It's about the fact that tomorrow they could do the same thing again. It's about the nightmare of explaining to my customers why the rules changed overnight.

Partners who resell your product aren't your dumping ground for problems you haven't figured out yet.

They're people who put their face on the line for you. They stake their reputation on your reliability. They cut budgets elsewhere to invest in promoting your solution.

In Voxloud, when we make changes that impact our partners, we think about them first. Not because we're saints, but because we know that if they don't feel protected, they'll find someone else who makes them feel that way.

And they should.

The moment your partner realizes you care more about your backend problems than their customer relationships, you've lost them. Not today, but soon.

You might keep them on paper for a while. They might not churn immediately. But their heart is already looking for the exit.

I learned this the hard way today. I asked for alignment on their pricing logic, not because I wanted to squeeze them, but because I literally cannot sell without it.

The response? "We'll try to find a solution, maybe."

Maybe isn't good enough when someone is betting their business on you.

Here's what I keep telling my team at Voxloud: our partners aren't just distribution channels. They're extensions of our company. When they struggle, we struggle. When they win, we win.

So before we roll out any change, we ask ourselves: "How will this land on our partners' customers?" Not just "How will this land on our partners?"

Because if you only think about the direct relationship, you're missing half the picture.

In your company, how do you handle changes that impact partners who depend on you? Do you protect them, or do you expect them to absorb the shock?

Yesterday an inbound lead who requested information about our product received a nurturing email: the typical SaaS message to warm up leads - enthusiastic tone, "first day of school" metaphor, FAQ video, product benefits description.

His response was: "Electoral promises........" 🫤

Three words. Three dots. A comparison that says it all.
Basically: "This email sounds like a political campaign ad before elections."

And this made me think about how much the relationship between companies and customers has changed in recent years.

Today's customers are bombarded with promises:

- "It's super simple, takes just few seconds"
- "We'll revolutionize your business"
- "You'll save 90% of your time"

..And they've seen too many times reality not matching expectations. 

Software that requires months of implementation. 
"Super simple" tools that need intensive training. 
"Revolutionary" products identical to competitors.

His skepticism isn't meanness, it's experience.

The real question is: how do we communicate value and enthusiasm without losing credibility? How do we balance the need to "sell the dream" with the necessity to build trust?

The problem isn't the email itself, but the fact that He—like many others—has developed an automatic filter for anything that sounds "too good to be true."

What strategies do you use to build trust before even selling?
