My 2-year experience as a Systems Analyst at TEKenable is where I got my first taste for the Insurance Industry while working on a project delivering a custom-built Insurance platform to a leading Qatari Insurance Company.

Through working on this project, it solidified my technical expertise but also showcased my ability to collaborate effectively with clients, development teams, and project stakeholders and deliver a successful project.

I excelled in the following responsibilities:
•	Conducted meticulous analysis to optimize system efficiency, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
•	Fostered strong client relationships, actively engaging stakeholders to understand their unique requirements and address concerns.
•	Leveraged Microsoft SharePoint to streamline collaboration, enhance documentation, and drive project success.
•	Assisted in Project Management, coordinating deliverables, timelines, and resources for efficient project execution.
•	Aligned the Insurance platform with clients' needs, overseeing implementation and ensuring a seamless fit.
•	Translated client requirements into comprehensive functional specifications, ensuring clear communication and shared understanding.

I had the privilege of nurturing and educating a diverse group of 30 children, aged between 3 and 5 years old, representing various nationalities. In this dynamic role, I taught a comprehensive range of subjects, including Phonics, Language, Math, Physical Education (PE), and Art.

In addition to my regular classroom responsibilities, I had the opportunity to teach special classes designed specifically for Grade 1 students who required extra support in certain subjects. This experience further enhanced my organizational skills as I meticulously planned and prepared lessons and activities to cater to the specific needs of these students. I also taught Phonics and Social Studies to a Grade 2 class, broadening my teaching repertoire and expanding my subject expertise.

As a dedicated Kindergarten Teacher, I actively participated in a variety of extracurricular activities, such as Sports Days, Music Concerts, and Class Trips. These experiences allowed me to engage with students beyond the traditional classroom setting, fostering a holistic learning environment and nurturing their overall development.

Throughout this period, I continually refined my time management skills, adhering to a structured timetable while ensuring a nurturing and disciplined classroom environment. I took on a leadership role, motivating and guiding the children while instilling a sense of discipline and responsibility.

As a Supervisor of State Examinations at Pobalscoil Gaoth Dobhair during the summers of 2009 and 2010, I was assigned with the responsibility of assisting a student with reading and writing difficulties during the Junior Certificate State Examinations.

My commitment to fostering inclusivity and providing support to students with diverse needs excelled in this role. I recognize the importance of creating an unbiassed exam environment where all students have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills.

My primary focus was to support the student by reading the exam paper aloud and providing explanations for any challenging words or concepts. By doing so, I ensured that the student had equal access to the examination materials, enabling them to perform to the best of their abilities.

This role required strong time management skills. I was accountable for initiating the exam promptly and ensuring its completion within the designated timeframe. By effectively managing the exam schedule, I ensured a fair and consistent experience for all participants.

During this role, I had the opportunity to expand my skill set and gain valuable experience in various departments.

In addition to my role in the sales department, I briefly worked in the customer care and broadband technical support departments. This experience enriched my technical acumen and provided me with a well-rounded understanding of the telecommunications industry.

Throughout my time in these roles, I honed my customer orientation skills and further developed my sales expertise. Interacting directly with customers, I consistently prioritized their needs, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and building lasting relationships. This focus on customer-centricity allowed me to excel in sales, effectively promoting products and services to meet and exceed my sales targets.

🚀Bringing my laser focus and Irish charm to the Insurance Industry in a career which spans over 13 years of expertise and experience in delivering, co-ordinating and launching insurance digital solutions with Insurance Brokers & Carriers globally.

✨I got a taste for the Insurance Industry ‘’Or fell into it like many others’’ as my insurance journey began as a Systems Analyst in Doha, Qatar in 2011, a role that allowed me to cultivate my analytical ability and deep understanding of the digital landscape. This foundation paved the way for me to naturally progress to a Product Manager, a role I enjoyed for over 8 years in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

✅During this time, I wove my insights into the intricacies of Employee Benefits across the Middle East, Asia, and African regions, orchestrating digital solutions that resonated with Insurance Brokers with diverse cultures, values, and regulatory frameworks.

📈Promoted to Chief Operating Officer at Teambase in April 2022, a role I continue to excel in to this current day. My leadership radiates a commitment to harnessing technology not just as a tool, but as a catalyst for human empowerment. I believe in the co-operative relationship between people, processes, and technology is at the heart of my transformative work.

🇮🇪 I moved back home to my native village in Gweedore, County Donegal (North-West of Ireland) and set-up Teambase Ireland in January 2022 to build, launch and expand the new range of Teambase Insurance Digital solutions to the global Insurance market.

🌍Fluent in the languages of not just technology, but also culture, I bridge the gaps between English, Gaeilge (Irish language) and embrace French at a beginner’s level (merci beaucoup😉). This multilingual ability mirrors my capability to bridge gaps in understanding and collaborating within a diverse global landscape.

⚡️🎆My personal journey is a testament to the possibilities of blending profound Insurance domain knowledge with an unquenchable thirst for innovation. It’s not just about systems, products, or even operations – it’s about empowering people and improving processes (one of my mantras).
