I set up Wilkes Wood in 2018 with my best friend, James.

James is a truly great creative and, whilst working as a freelance marketer, I frequently had reason to collaborate with him on projects. Eventually, we realised we should join forces officially, and Wilkes Wood was born.

My role is split between strategy and project management, helping to bring clarity to thinking and ensuring that resources are always being utilised in the most effective way.

I hold an MSc in Data Analytics and Digital Marketing - something I decided to embark on upon our second year of business. 

Despite the obvious furthering of my understanding of data and how best to draw insights from analytics, the most critical learning journey from this course was around strategic thinking.

This has had a profound impact on nearly every element of both my professional and personal life. I was lucky enough to be tutored by some truly amazing individuals like Dr David Norris, who have helped me reframe how I approach problem-solving, balancing long-term thinking with data-led action and constant, iterative improvement.

Outside of my professional activities, I am an avid photographer, shooting mostly on analogue cameras. This helps me slow down a little and create with more intention.

Having grown up in the heart of the Peak District, I am a big outdoors enthusiast, taking great joy in hiking, camping and exploring whenever my schedule allows. 

Aside from these, I’m incredibly fond of cooking, creative writing, and literature. All of these interests sort of morph and meld together.

I am driven by purpose, opportunities to learn, and also by the diverse array of people I get to encounter through my work and hobbies. 

I live in Sheffield with Amelia, my wonderful partner of many years, and Aubrey, our slightly boring yet increasingly large tortoise.
