Our aim is to ensure that regardless of background, gender, ethnicity or academic ability, children get the same opportunities as those more fortunate - this is about giving all young people the opportunity to find their voice when it matters most and to come across consistently as the very best version of themselves.

Aims of the project:
•	To understand why verbal communication skills are vital in 21st Century life;
•	To develop young people’s self-confidence and give them the skills to come across brilliantly and courageously;
•	To rebalance the exam focussed school curriculum by promoting oracy;
•	To develop self-awareness and embrace difference;

It is often assumed that only extroverts end up becoming influential communicators and charisma is something you are born with.

I profoundly disagree!

I am naturally introverted. But, despite that, I trained as an actor and have forged out a successful career, running a communications training company. 

I don’t elect to put myself in the spotlight, but when I’m there, I can command a room and look completely at ease.

Why? Because I’ve learned how to come across as natural, confident, and authoritative, despite feeling profound nerves and discomfort.

Some of my most successful transformations have been with clients who are natural introverts… You don’t have to be an extrovert to communicate effectively and persuasively – you just need to know certain techniques to be able to perform well.

I realised that there are many people who are excellent at their jobs but are thwarted in their desire for career advancement because they lack the confidence to step out of the shadows and effectively communicate their thoughts and ideas.

This negatively impacts their income level, their family’s lifestyle and leads to regrets bitterness and unhappiness due to them not fulfilling their potential.

Content: Ultimately, we are only as good as the words we are saying. We’ll look at the two key words that underpin all great content – RELEVANCE & CLARITY. We’ll discuss the power of storytelling versus bullet points and how to create your very own TED Talk. 

Face-to-face versus online: We’ll look at the differences in body language, positioning yourself, eye contact and posture. Whether it’s staring into a camera, a 1-2-1 or a large group, it’s about knowing how to consistently put your best self forward.
