Responsible for key strategic partners (Youtube, Meta, Linkedin etc.) of our live streaming business, StreamYard, on which most of the company's revenue depends.

Responsible for Hopin's app store and product partnerships for emerging products in the Hopin suite.

Past milestones include: 
- Grew from 0 to +50 high-quality, vetted Hopin partner integrations in one year.
- Launched key partnerships with Linkedin, HubSpot, Salesforce, and more.
- Developed partner program (internal / external enablement, co-selling playbooks etc) from scratch.
- Improved key product metrics to increase retention among our most important customer segments

Senior Partnerships Manager, Product Partnerships 

Hire #16 and #3 on the go-to-market team. My favourite achievements:

- Helped to move hundreds of thousands of events online during the onset of the covid pandemic
- Invented the job of "virtual events manager" and helped clients stay employed
- Created hundreds of jobs at our partner agencies who ran thousands of events per month.

Other milestones include: 

- Closed +$2M in sales deal in six months while developing our agency partner program
- Developed and sold Hopin's first ever annual (+$50k) and enterprise deals (+$120k).
- Closed +90 deals in 2020, largest deal size +$400k
- Identified the opportunity and built the Hopin Events Agency Program from scratch.
- The agency program ultimately grew to +300 agencies which generated +$13M in revenue. 
- Managed a team of partner managers to oversee our agency co-selling motion. 
- Interviewed hundreds of team members and key execs, growing Hopin to +1,200 employees
- Helped Hopin achieve global coverage through event agencies within four month.
- The agency program ultimately would replace our entire event services function.

- Conducted qual/quant research and experiments with clients in Europe and Latin America 
- Leveraged a diverse range of strategies (data analysis & machine learning in R & Python, smoke screens, A/B testing, etc.) to run iterative experiments for clients and discover untapped marketing opportunities

Founding member, external relations manager, and talk show host of the Erasmus Center For Entrepreneurship Students' "Minimum Viable Talkshow", an event with high-profile guests aimed at delivering hands-on advice to student entrepreneurs.

- Responsible for acquiring and interviewing high-profile guests such as Christian Stadil (Investor at Danish "Shark Tank"), Jan-Peter Balkenende (Former Dutch Prime Minister), and Marian Van Loon (President of Royal Dutch Shell NL).

His new book, "The Book on Partnerships: How Startups Work With Partners To Sell More, Add Features, And Get Acquired.", is a foundational guide full of stories and insights from 50+ industry experts that explain the power of partnerships in the most basic terms.  

Franz is also a frequent contributor and speaker on the topic of partnerships on podcasts, blogs, events, and conferences as well as the host of one of the most popular partnership podcasts, The Partner Ship 🚢.

Originally from Germany, Franz lives with his wife and daughter in San Francisco, where he organizes monthly partnerships meetups together with the Partnerships Leaders community.
