Matt Kim

10 years ago I was making $55k (CAD) and hated my job.

So I quit. I took my savings and moved to San Francisco with no plan, no network, and no safety net.

I slept in hostels. Got my phone stolen. Ate a baguette for dinner and called it a meal.

Most days I’d sit at Philz Coffee for 8 hours applying to jobs, building things, trying to figure things out.

Eventually I landed a tech job. Later I joined Meta. I sold my first startup. I raised $1.2M+ for my second one. And eventually shut it down.

While building my startup, I worked with a design agency called Zypsy. I saw how strong their designers and engineers were. And how much they cared about the founders they worked with.

2024, I joined the team.
2025, I became CEO.

Today we’re a team of 42 across 10 countries. We’ve helped 50+ founders build their products and brands, backed by the top VCs.

And 2026 is shaping up to be our best year yet.

I’m sharing this because I remember eating that baguette for dinner and wondering if I’d made the wrong call.
