I run a Leeds-city centre-based boutique Content Marketing Agency with a sense of humour. Our mission is to create killer content with service that slaps. Not in the way that hurts.

I'm passionate about digital marketing and comms, using insight-led marketing strategy to create relevant content that reaches the right customer at the right time with the right message!

Wizu Workspace

Supporting our Head of Culture and Engagement and Operations to ensure we have a happy and productive workplace! 

As part of this role, I'm a culture ambassador for Wizu and have been implementing new processes and procedures to streamline our operations. 

- Successfully inducted 6 new starters within 3 months which included; bespoke 2 week planners for an effective onboarding, a newly released Induction and Training record, an updated and more interactive onboarding session with HR and hello calls with our team!
- Revamped our Recruitment lifecycle through creation of 5 internal team documents and an increase of communication with all candidates.
- Organised work experience for two Year 10 students from a local school that involved: 2 x 1 week planners with sessions and work activities stretching across their chosen specialist departments, goodie bags, a newly released Work Experience booklet with helpful career resources e.g. payslip breakdowns, fixed and growth mindset information. 
- Conducted 3 sets of interviews for varying roles across the Wizu Workspace Group. 
- Supported our ESG project team through meeting with sustainable food waste providers to gather quotes to ensure functions in place for March 2025.

Human Resources Administrator

Collaborating with our expanding team to increase brand awareness and generate leads for unique and friendly workspaces in the North. 

Alongside taking on existing responsibilities, I extended my outreach to support the Wizu team with more Marketing tasks such as: 

- Liaising and organising third-party creative vendors. 
- Supporting the sales team with targeting and strategy. 
- Extending community outreach with further newsletters and interviews.
- Representing the Marketing team as part of Wizu's ESG project team. 
-Supporting the Meetings and Events team in organising community and outreach events.
- Running point lead on new product and service offerings. 
- Training other departments in partnering content creation platforms.

Marketing Executive

Working in a team of 2 to develop engaging community and sales-focused content strategies. 

- Increased Instagram account reach by 95% in the first four weeks by focusing on video creation and community-centred content. 
- Boosted LinkedIn impressions by 20,000 in 30 days through consistent posting of quality and relevant content. 
- Converted social media followers into leads for one product by running a summer offer campaign that was supported by graphic posts and reels.
- Supported a project team in launching a new building, which included buying physical merchandise, planning and executing the marketing campaign, connecting with local businesses and providers and working the launch event.

Social Media and Content Manager

ERIC

Working in a team of 5 to drive brand awareness and boost app downloads for ERIC (a free app to help young people land jobs in the creative industries) through marketing strategy and content creation.

• Supported the team in Increasing total app downloads by 130% and Monthly Active Users (MAU) by 215% by creating 15 more pieces of app content (including workshops, courses, jobs etc), 6 pieces of Instagram content and 3 newsletters per week.
• Achieved 100k+ LinkedIn impressions over 10 months through running campaigns that aligned with brand messaging, producing insightful content, and engaging consistently with clients and followers. 
• Increased newsletter subscribers by 5k by creating informative weekly careers newsletters, achieving 50% open rates and 4% – 8% CTR (previously 1% to 3%). 
• Converted a free profile client (A big 5 publishing company) to an annual paying client through writing engaging copy and running interactive social campaigns.

Communications Lead

The Joyful Coach

Worked in a team of 3, creating fresh and effective marketing strategies to improve reach and gain
customers.

• Implemented a content calendar and monthly social tracker by planning and being highly
organised, increasing content output by 50% and driving 15% increase in social media
impressions.
• Created high quality content 5 times per week, generating monthly impressions of 13K, 3K
video views and reaching over 1000 accounts per month.
• Improving SEO ranking by re-purposing podcast episodes into blog posts, videos and social
media posts, driving better awareness and engagement.

Worked in a team of 30+ ambassadors to support the promotion of the University through excellent public speaking, communication and marketing. 

My responsibilities included:
- Assisting prospective students & families at Open Days
- Assisting prospective students & families during private campus tours
- Marketing personal experiences at the Conservatoire through social media marketing profiles

Campus Ambassador

Hanglands

Worked in a team of 3 managing projects for clients in the Music and Hospitality industry: PR, social media and events. 

- Managed 5 clients (artists) on their PR and campaigns by communicating effectively, writing press releases and sourcing journalists – this resulted in 2 online features, 134% increase in accounts reached and 314% in content interactions.  
- Improved collaboration with a newer client (Long Division) and built a strong relationship - wrote two press releases, pitched to influencers and independent magazines and ran their social media, achieving 4.5% increase in followers.
- Created 14 pieces of social media content to promote a music event by planning and copywriting which achieved over 3% engagement and almost 1,000 likes.

Communications and Events Intern

Tesco

Worked in a team of 20, replenishing stock, organising the stock room and processing deliveries. 

My responsibilities included: 
- Transferring stock from cage to shelf to keep the supply at a high level. 
- Ensuring the aisles and shelves were kept clean and tidy through regular checks which consisted of removal of excess packaging and checking all stock was in the correct position within the store. 
- Assisting with Tesco.com services
- Providing positive store experience by supporting customers with any enquiries.

Grocery Assistant

Craven Stationery

Worked in a team of 5 to provide personalised stationery experiences to customers and clients. 

My responsibilities included: 
- Physical marketing
- Creating personalised documents
- Copying, laminating and binding
- Stock replenishment 
- Processing deliveries.

 This position allowed me to develop time management, work calmly under pressure and create relationships with customers which allow for retention and consistently delivering a positive service.

Retail Assistant

Worked with 10+ individuals from various departments to learn and shadow jobs related to marketing, communications and digital. 

The departments I shadowed included:

These two weeks introduced me to the inner workings of PR, communications and marketing within a large company.

I’m a northern girl born and bred, who is passionate about ensuring businesses work at their top level efficiency, with effective onboarding, training and employee engagement frameworks in place.

👩🏽‍💻 I’ve had the joy of experiencing varied positions across incredible industries, including music and early careers, with roles surrounding Marketing, PR and now HR!

💥 Here are some of my key achievements:
• Supported in the creation and building process of Wizu's internal recruitment and onboarding process; reducing the need for email communications by 50% through form creation and streamlined step
•Achieved 125k+ LinkedIn organic impressions for Wizu Workspace over 8 months through sales-based campaigns and interactive content that aligned with brand messaging, focused on Wizu's USPs and engaged consistently with clients and followers.
• Launched member newsletters for Wizu members that have an average 25% open rate and improves community engagement. 
• Launched the Journalism Society at Leeds Conservatoire from scratch – I managed a team which grew from 3 to 6 people, hosting engaging workshops and events and published 8 digital magazines in 1 year.
• Managed 5 clients (music artists) freelance from brief to campaign execution - achieved 115% increase in social media followers and gained 20 pieces of press coverage.

📚 2024 is proving exciting 10 months in, with two building launches completed and lots of incredible projects in the process! As we progress into the second half of the year, I’m looking to build on my HR and people practice skill sets, taking steps to move forward in my new career in HR. 

💭 In my spare time, you’ll find me knee-deep in my Spotify playlists or booking my next gig. Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember and is something I can't go without. I’ve recently got back into playing golf, having played competitively when I was younger, so I’m excited to be back at it.
