My responsibilities included cultivating and strengthening client relationships, formulating and implementing growth strategies aligned with business strengths and client needs, and broadening our client base through diligent research, cold calling, and response to incoming leads. I actively participated in networking events, represented our company at exhibitions and conferences, and was pivotal in drafting and negotiating contracts, thereby ensuring the provision of top-tier L&D products and services.

Noteworthy accomplishments during my tenure include receiving the prestigious Employee of the Year Award in 2017 and the Respect Award in 2016, which acknowledged my dedication as a team member, trustworthiness as a colleague, and my embodiment of the company’s values.

I established robust assessment criteria to gauge the proficiency and knowledge of Education Brokers, ensuring alignment with our quality and compliance objectives.

My duties extended to conducting on-site visits for the purpose of evaluating promotional materials, scrutinising call scripts, and monitoring calls to ensure adherence to compliance and audit requirements. I maintained direct communication lines with the GM of Sales and provided regular updates to the CEO regarding performance metrics, sales forecasts, and prevailing market trends.

Among my notable achievements was the successful assembly and leadership of a formidable team comprising over 30 Education Brokers, which was instrumental in achieving an impressive 147% revenue growth within a span of two years.

Senior National Partnerships and Key Account Manager

As the 2IC to the Senior National Accounts Manager, I played a pivotal role in identifying and cultivating new training opportunities across a diverse and high-profile client portfolio, which included leading organisations in both the private and public sectors such as Woolworths, Toll Group, Commonwealth Bank, Australian Federal Police, Department of Defence, and Department of Communities & Justice. My responsibilities entailed the proactive prospecting of both new and existing client accounts to uncover fresh training initiatives.

I was also tasked with the meticulous upkeep of the Zoho CRM system, ensuring the accuracy and comprehensiveness of client data. Additionally, I spearheaded the development of content for monthly electronic direct mail (EDM) campaigns aimed at key B2B and B2C clients, effectively promoting our array of L&D products and services. Part of my duties included the crafting, reviewing, and refining of client proposals to align with their specific needs and objectives.

My tenure at MCI Solutions was marked by significant accomplishments, notably being recognised by the GM, CEO, and MD for my crucial role in enhancing vital client relationships and securing three profitable new accounts within a short timeframe. This recognition was further solidified by a promotion within just six months of my appointment, underscoring my impactful contributions to the team and the company's growth trajectory.

In this role, I specialised in providing strategic advice and crafting bespoke solutions to address the specific needs of key stakeholders. My role was crucial in assisting with the planning, implementation, and deployment of various banking projects, ensuring their successful execution through meticulous strategic planning and oversight of all project stages.

My contributions were particularly noted in the successful initiation and execution of a groundbreaking project aimed at enhancing the capabilities and efficiency of the Hobart, TAS Call Centre Team. This project, which involved training approximately 45 staff members to handle NetBank enquiries, was recognised by the Direct Banking General Manager and the Senior Executive Team for its significant impact.

The initiative was instrumental in reducing overall call wait times by up to 2% and notably improving customer satisfaction levels, as evidenced by the results of Roy Morgan customer surveys. This achievement not only underscored my ability to drive key project outcomes but also highlighted my commitment to enhancing customer service excellence within the banking sector.

So, they made the epic move. We're talking a 15,000km journey by foot, camel (yes, an actual camel), car, and plane to land in a new country with just the essentials.

Their quest for 'freedom' - a word that's tossed around but not always appreciated - and their sacrifices are why I count myself as one of the fortunate ones. Living in a place where the only thing holding you back is, well, you. A place brimming with opportunities if you're just willing to look.
