Chief Executive Officer

I’m Falan Blake a nursing student and CNA with a vision to bridge psychiatry, neurology, and nursing research. My journey into healthcare is deeply personal. I’ve lost loved ones to stroke and heart disease, and my child lives with a serious mental illness that changed the course of our lives. 

What drives me is the question why…why the brain and body respond the way they do, and how we can move beyond treating symptoms to addressing root causes.

My focus is pediatric neurology and mental health nursing, with long-term plans to pursue a dual PHD/DNP and position myself as a nurse scientist. I believe nursing can play a greater role in reshaping how we understand brain health from advocating for advanced imaging in psychiatric care to exploring new pathways for trauma-informed recovery.

This isn’t just a career shift; it’s a lifelong mission. My platform will document my academic journey, share insights at the intersection of psychiatry and neurology, and build awareness for research-based nursing care.

Falan Blake

GE Appliances, a Haier company

•	Responsible for crafting and executing various training and marketing strategies to promote GE’s SmartHQ Service Home Appliance Diagnostic System and drive brand positioning, awareness and conversion
•	Manage the overall production of high-quality video content from initial concept to finished product
•	Content creation responsibilities include script writing, filming, acting and post-production editing, which often includes working closely with third party vendors
•	Present at various Home Appliance tradeshows and conferences including AVB Summit (BrandSource), AAHOA, AHR, PSA and ASTI
•	Deliver technical training to GE’s business and service partners using a variety of presentation formats, including live webinars, in-person instructor-led courses and group learning activities 
•	Successfully formed B2B partnerships with major appliance parts retailers who now carry the SmartHQ Service Home Appliance Diagnostic System
•	Partner with Sales, Marketing and NPI teams to clearly define multi-generation product plans, support current customers, and attract new business opportunities
•	Collaborate with globally dispersed teams in South Korea, India and the USA
•	Develop continuous system improvement processes to optimize service technician efficiency, mitigate repeat repair service visits and promote overall customer satisfaction 
•	Coordinate business travel schedule, and create reports on related expenses

Senior Staff Field Application Engineer

Samsung Electronics

•	Responsible for managing the development and delivery of technical training materials to Samsung’s network of service technicians for Home Appliance, Television and Mobile products
•	Developed deep cross-functional collaborative relationships with foreign subsidiaries (South Korea, China, Mexico) to drive mutual improvement of processes 
•	Worked closely with Engineering, Product Support and Product Liability teams to identify opportunities of operational improvements that help increase product repair efficiency 
•	Facilitated in-person technical training at Samsung service locations throughout the USA
•	Undertook management of a webinar-based training production team which resulted in a 1000% viewership increase
•	Designed and supervised the construction of Samsung’s first ever Home Delivery Simulation Lab, which is used to test the installation/interoperability of IoT (Internet of things) devices and develop training content
•	Managed the development and launch of the HASS (Home Appliance Smart Service) mobile device application, designed to help service technicians diagnose and service smart home appliances
•	Produced and hosted the “Samsung Empathy Training” video currently used by all Samsung authorized service centers to help improve the overall customer service experience
•	Systematically planned, developed and evaluated Samsung’s first Master Technician program curriculum criteria
•	Worked on the design and launch of Samsung’s Learning Management System (LMS) to assign training courses, coordinate live training and maintain yearly certifications
•	Monitor servicer KPIs, conduct repair site visits and ride alongside service technicians to help improve their overall performance
•	Coordinate business travel schedule, and create reports on related expenses

Technical Training Manager

Crane Aerospace & Electronics

•	Designed high reliability components from concept through release to manufacturing for commercial and space applications (power dividers/combiners, couplers and quadrature-hybrids up to 30 GHz)
•	Synthesized new designs using mathematical tools and models (ADS, HFSS)
•	Performed necessary experiments and wrote test procedures per engineering requests on prototype circuit boards
•	Performed tuning and repairs of RF engineering models using a network analyzer, power meter and various other types of electronic instruments in order to ensure proper operation
•	Provided guidance and training to test technicians, and provided support to manufacturing when requested
•	Wrote Acceptance and Quality test procedures for newly designed components
•	Performed complex screening tests at various test facilities (vibration, temperature cycling)

Electrical Design Engineer

NJMET, Inc (NJ Micro Electronic Testing)

•	Designed, built, and documented evaluation hardware and software to test all types of electronic devices for use in military and space applications
•	Wrote and edited documentation for evaluation hardware, including all test procedures 
•	Correlated and analyzed test results for DSCC (military) certified electronic components
      o	Integrated Circuits (Digital, Linear Microprocessors)
      o	Passive Devices, Electromechanical Devices, Cables, Transformers and Optical Devices
•	Managed test technicians and provided technical training for newly hired engineers

Electronics Test Engineer 

•	Tested, evaluated, and wrote technical documentation for pre-production samples of new products using industry standards in consumer electronics testing equipment
•	Developed and provided technical training for Samsung’s service center using PowerPoint
•	Provided technical telephone support to field service personnel

Service Department Apprentice

Qualified Engineering Professional with over sixteen years of combined management, engineering, instructional facilitation and public speaking experience.  Collaborative, articulate, highly organized and versatile, specialized in end-to-end development and management of both in-person and virtual training.  A dynamic presenter with expertise in delivering complex information in a simplified manner to a diverse range of audiences.  Deep understanding of Adult Learning Theory, combined with a strong background in a variety of fields including Consumer Electronics, Smart Home Appliances, Mobile Devices, Defense and RF.   

As far as I can remember, I’ve always been passionate about learning new things and teaching them to others.  The human mind is capable of understanding anything, as long as it is presented in an interesting and simplified manner.  My favorite quote from one of the greatest minds in history is “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough” (Albert Einstein).  I remind myself of this every time I’m presenting any information, regardless of its complexity.
