Want to hit 30k+ impressions on LinkedIn? Copy top-performing posts. I’m serious. Some of my best posts (77k and 33k) followed the structure and format that worked well for other people (because posts do well for a reason...).

One of my best posts ever had the hook, "I'm American and...."

A few weeks prior to that post, I saw a post from someone on LinkedIn who said, "I'm British and..." It did well and I thought, "that's cool. I can tell MY story that way."

How to do it:

→Copy and paste the exact post in its entirety.

Kidding! Don't do this.

The smart algo probably won’t show it, and that's good because that post doing well would be bad for everyone. 

I'm not British, so that wouldn't make any sense. 

→Spice it up with your flair, your style, and your story

Make something new and fresh, 

but do it in a smart way because LinkedIn likes what it likes.

→Optimize your profile

Impressions will only do something for you if you:

1. Have an offer
2. Clearly present that offer
3. Make it easy to connect with you, to check out your website, just present yourself as someone they actually want to talk with.

Experiment with different ways to tell YOUR story.

And heck, start with my posts if you want. Copy them. I dare you.

Because unless you're a 6'4 expat living in Portugal with twins, play padel (or even know what that is) have 8 books to your name and dozens more worked on as a ghost/book coach, you can't really copy my posts because you aren't me. 

Copy format and structure, and don't feel bad about it. 

Just tell YOUR story. 

And post a pic of your baby, dog, or ugly cat.
