As someone who is naturally curious, who thrives in a dynamic environment, and loves diving deeper with individuals to fully understand their situations, goals, or challenges, I'm actively fulfilling the prophecy that I've been told from a young age by my entire family - "You'll either be a lawyer or you'll grow up to be a successful salesman" they'd say.

From boutique fitness studios to commercial gyms with over 3,000 members, and more recently as an Account Specialist serving some of Bullhorn’s largest, most complex clients, I've had the opportunity to refine go-to-market strategies that were adopted at a company-wide scale, implement recruiting and onboarding processes that reduced ramp times by up to 50%, and built relationships with both customers and team members that are stronger than ever today.

I'm obsessed with staying up to date on sales and marketing strategies that help companies thrive in a dynamic market that is more competitive than ever before, analyzing and iterating on processes that my team is currently leveraging, working cross-functionally to identify and present solutions to clients, and constantly striving to set outcomes and measurable objectives that help define what a win looks like in all scenarios with prospects, customers, and team members.

Fun facts:
- Passionate about cooking and baking and never shy away from a new recipe
- Have been actively involved in athletic endeavors for my entire life, ranging from football and wrestling to CrossFit and endurance events (half marathons, marathons, triathlons, and trail races)

I became an editor-in-chief in a difficult period for the journal and faced many challenges due to frequent member changes, poor organizational structure and some financial difficulties. 

I worked closely with the editors, graphic designers, photographers and authors in order to rebrand magazine and deliver better content to our readers. My typical responsibilities included: supervising and coordinating work of all members, editing content, interviewing and hiring new members, taking responsibility for issues after publication. 

During my mandate, my team and I made huge turnover. We redesigned magazine, established new sector (Team for sale), redefined recruitment and selection process. Also, we organized panel discussion about economic growth in Serbia named „Whether We Are Facing a Lost Decade (2006-2016)?“ to celebrate 18th anniversary.  

Successes included: implementing new marketing and sales strategy (selling advertising space to Ernst and Young, Škola Intelektualnih veština, Equilibrio etc.), implementing new recruitment system (which increased number of members by 50%), upsurging in the number of readers, making a strong company framework in which students and business partners can work efficiently and effectively, both individually and collectively, and succeed for mutual benefit.

We were over a year in free beta. Bootstrapping. Investing 10,000 hours before seeing a dime. 
To make our lives even harder, we decided to adopt a no-cookie, no-automation policy (which means more time per feature + a ton of constraints). 

Whispers labelled our approach "insane." 🤯

And they were probably right. But we wanted to do it "the right way". Not to sell something we don't like, that doesn't work, or that is not complete. Right? 

So, what was our goal? To help people like us create content on LinkedIn and get the ROI of their content. After all, this is a professional business network. 

Like us = regular people, not just professional writers. 

And if you know anything about content creation here, you know it is hard. Despite the popular "it's a breeze" narrative.

So, how did I end up working on AuthoredUp? By accident. 

My first startup didn't succeed.. and while trying to land some beta users on LinkedIn, I tried to create content and build awareness... 

Let's say it was... an experience. 💨💨💨

Before diving into the world of startups:

I was deeply interested in Austrian economic theory during my student days (the school of thought, not the nationality!). That changed, but my love for diving deep and understanding the "why" remains. And I read scientific articles for fun (not kidding).

In the startup scene, I've done everything. From leading large teams to managing multiple companies all at once. I even got a VQF license in Switzerland (a license for operating a crypto exchange under FINMA). 

But one thing remained constant: I was the go-to person to solve problems. ✅
