Have we reached Peak LinkedIn?

It certainly feels that way. Three years straight of the same recycled content. 

1. Entrepreneur pretending to be a podcaster - "studio" + annoying subtitles underneath. 
2. Unnecessary vacation glam shots - bonus points if you post about "unwinding", "self-care" etc.
3. Really bad AI slop - "It isn't an upgrade. It's an unlock" 
4. Complaints about Bad AI Slop (Guilty Here)

Maybe this year LinkedIn could change things up a bit? This poor networking app has become a distillation of the worst content from all of the big social media apps.

Will AI let you fire your boss? 

It is looking more and more that way. 

Despite the hype, AI doesn't have the precision to replace high-value individual contributors.

But it is right about 75-80% of the time, which is better than the average striver / mid-level manager. 

Sorry Lumbergh - you have a meeting with the Bobs...

Social selling is such a funny game. So much content about what to say, how to say it, etc. Next to nothing about about venue. 

Take for example DevHawk - we have been using LinkedIn as one of our GTM vectors (paid, direct messaging, etc.) 

Lots of crickets. Why? 

Because LinkedIn's entire user population is represented by three types of people. 

1. Desperate Sales People
2. Narcissistic "Founders" 
3. The Newly Unemployed

That's it. 

This makes LinkedIn an excellent place to sell goods and services to: 

1. Desperate Sales People
2. Narcissistic "Founders" 
3. The Newly Unemployed

If your product isn't designed for any of the above, you should log off, and create a Reddit or X account.

I’m building DevHawk, a product focused on delivery visibility inside engineering organizations — largely because most of the tools we all use today are built for reporting activity, not understanding how work actually moves through a team. They look busy. They don’t show friction.

What I care about is how outsourced teams really operate: how work gets handed off, where reviews slow things down, how QA queues form, and what actually determines whether a project ships smoothly or quietly drifts.
