LongView International Technology Solutions

Successfully established and grew LongView's Federal Civilian Business account from the ground up with no prior rolodex into this space.  The Fed-CIV account ended up being one of the most profitable and well-managed accounts for the organization.  Led BD, Capture, P&L and strategic growth for the account bringing LongView into a new customer base at Department of Commerce and sub-bureaus. Had oversight of 50+ assets, including PM's, Deputy PM's and subcontractor teams.  Worked closely with federal customers, PM's, subcontractors, LongView headquarter staff across all departments and LongView Executive Leadership team to meet requirements and strategic objectives--delivering excellent customer and employee satisfaction results.  Supported corporate culture improvement initiatives as a original member of LongView's committee to enhance these objectives.

CACI International Inc

As a Director at this $5B organization, assisted the BD Senior Vice President and other Healthcare BD Executives in developing the strategy for the Federal Healthcare market sector, and to support CACI's long term business strategy and facilitate the latter's implementation.  Maintained robust pipeline of viable opportunities 12 – 36 months out and facilitating the timely movement of those opportunities through corporate milestones.  Worked closely with capture team to secure teaming partners and to gather critical customer intel to shape winning proposals.

•	Achieved first new business award within 9 months of employment. Exceeded new business award target within 18 months of employment. Increased CACI's visibility in Health & Human Services (HHS) and Military Health System (MHS).  Consistently hit or exceeded win targets.

-  Was nominated to participate in CACI's Business Development Fellows Program- prestigious 12 month program of comprehensive BD and Capture training.  Completed successfully and received recognition from CEO, COO and other Senior CACI Executives

- Opened TerraHealth's first DC office as Vice President for government contracting firm, serving in BD and Program Management capacities out of MHS/ DHA headquarters.  Significant Business Development and Program Management responsibilities specific to the Military Health System (MHS), DHHS (Department of Health and Human Services) and DoD (Department of Defense).  

-Managed and grew existing and new customer business, and partnership relationships resulting in significant new government contracts, including $1.2B IDIQ contract with the Army.  Expanded business pipeline to over $50M in 18 months.  

-Turned around a struggling CMS project, with direct oversight responsibility of 73 resources/ reporting staff members.  Achieved measurable high quality and satisfaction rating from client as a direct result of personally driven efforts to turn things around in 6 months time.  Received accolades and recognition from Terrahealth CEO for massive turn-around effort.

TeleScience International, Inc.

Government contracting firm providing medical staffing services to Department of Defense.  Handled proposal development, contract administration, recruiting, and oversight of company-wide contracts.  Instrumental in winning 11 new contracts representing over $35M in new business for the company.

-Was recruited at UVA McIntire School of Commerce to support Fortune 3 (at the time) Ford Motor Company, Marketing & Sales Division.  Completed 6 month training program with Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI and served as Zone Manager representing the manufacturer, Ford,  to its franchise dealerships in the Washington D.C. region.  

-Wholesaled $150M of Ford Motor Company cars and trucks into dealership territories during this time.  Was responsible for meeting territory market share, facility update and customer satisfaction goals.  Was promoted rapidly to Market Representation Team, then on to Lincoln-Mercury Division Metro Zone (highest volume/ profit dealership territory).

In 2017, I founded The d8 Group to re-define how government contracts are captured—offering those firms interested in doing business with the Federal Government “A New Way to Win.”  What started off as a hypothesis to see if we could truly offer Business Development as a Service (BDaaS), has proven to be a reality as we have now supported over 135 firms in the short time since I started the consulting practice. 

My team short circuits the learning curve and win cycle for new entrants, and also helps existing players with their critical business development, pipeline and capture needs.  We are now also offering BD/ Capture training, Brand Amplification services, and Proposal & Graphics support services. 

With over 75 targeted Subject Matter Experts and Federal Contracting Growth experts on the team, our team has collectively won over $103B in government contract awards.  We provide agency expertise, customer intimacy, solutions acumen, competitive intelligence, teaming support and government outreach support.  We are different from other firms in the degree to which we get our hands dirty, how creative we are with our approaches, and the speed and accuracy of our work. With 25 years of comprehensive business and sales experience, and 20 years spent in the Federal Government Contracting arena, I am a proven operational, sales, and strategic business growth executive who has consistently led measurable new business wins and operational improvements for the organizations that I have supported.

I am a graduate of University of Virginia’s McIntire school of Commerce with a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce.  I also hold an M.B.A. from University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business with a Finance Concentration.
