I am a full-time staff member of Syracuse University's Writing Program. I work as a composition instructor, as a consultant in the Writing Center, and as an administrator in the Center.
• Oversaw the interviewing, onboarding, budgeting, and scheduling of a staff of more than 50 professional tutors along with other Writing Center employees.
• Managed all Writing Center data gathering, surveying, reporting, and assessment.
• Analyzed survey data to improve clients’ experience throughout the customer life cycle.
• Consistently exceeded annual KPI milestones for overall usage, new client acquisition, and various departmental and university assessment metrics.
• Increased the Center’s operating budget each semester through course offerings as well as departmental workshops, partnerships, and the creation of dedicated funding lines.
• Designed and delivered marketing materials and external communications to thousands of clients and subscribers, resulting in consistent increases in overall contact hours each year.
• Oversaw all daily operations, which includes 7,000+ scheduled contact hours each year.

Training and Development:
• Mentored seven assistant directors, five of whom now direct their own university Writing Centers.
• Designed and led orientation for new consultants as well as ongoing training and professional development for experienced employees each semester.
• Created and delivered workshops each semester to educate diverse faculty stakeholders on topics including curriculum design, project management, and the use of LMS software.
• Designed and delivered more than 300 educational workshops on a variety of topics since 2011, serving more than 35,000 clients.

Project Management:
• Initiated, designed, and oversaw new, department-specific funding lines with the architecture department, the S.I. Newhouse School of Journalism, the Whitman School of Business, the Visual and Performing Arts program, and the Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP)

I currently work as an instructional designer, overseeing the design, delivery, and project management for a variety of corporate and engineering courses. I also collaborate with SMEs on everything from course design and curriculum to content and delivery.

I use tools such as Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, and Elucidat to create learner-centered content on various LMS platforms.

Prior to my current role, I accrued more than a decade of managerial experience recruiting, onboarding, training, and overseeing a large public-facing staff (50+) that served thousands of diverse stakeholders; I also have more than a decade of experience designing and implementing a variety of collaborative, longitudinal educational projects while overseeing the Writing Center's daily operations, which included 7,000+ scheduled contact hours each year. 

I have onboarded, trained, and mentored nearly 300 undergraduate, graduate, and professional writing tutors, and I have also mentored seven assistant directors, five of whom now direct their own Writing Centers (or now have WC-adjacent careers). 

Since 2011, I have designed and delivered more than 300 educational workshops on a variety of topics for students, faculty, and staff, serving more than 35,000 clients. I have also helped students and faculty win more than $350,000 in grants and other awards. 

I have also logged more than 10,000 hours as an in-person and online tutor in the Writing Center.

As an editor, I have provided developmental and copyediting for more than 100 dissertations, more than 300 theses, and more than a dozen book-length manuscripts in a variety of genres. 

In short, I have devoted my career to educating, engaging, and empowering a diverse array of students, clients, and stakeholders.

My presence on LinkedIn focuses on career counseling, job support, and resources for job seekers and transitioning teachers.
