CEO of Berg Watches - Building the watch brand of tomorrow⌚️

I design watches for leading sports teams, companies and artists around the world as the founder and head designer of Berg.

I started working at Norway's largest restaurant chain, Peppes Pizza at the age of 12. Worked my way up to assistant general manager while co-founding LustBox, a monthly subscription box for men’s accessories and studying business and fashion management. 

Moved from Bergen to Oslo to focus more on LustBox and turned down a general manager position at that chain and started at the bottom as a waiter again to focus mainly on LustBox. In November 2017 LustBox was acquired by a Swiss company.

Finished school at BI in Oslo in 2016 and quit my job at the restaurant a month later to start my very own watch brand named BERG.

I wanted to tell the story of Norwegian fashion heritage in a modern and minimalist way while using materials that have been used in Norway for centuries.

I decided to go for crowdfunding as a platform to launch my business. Raised almost 1.1 million NOK through Kickstarter, Indiegogo and Startskudd and 1 month after launching I sold out my next collection of 300 limited edition watches in just 12 days.

In 2018 I launched the world's first ever "dumb" watch that you could pay with, by using NFC technology in the strap of the watch.

My fascination for payment solutions and transactional data drove me to invest in a company that worked with transactional data that failed, so I dove in to try to make my own solution along with two others. For this we needed users and decided to make a universal app market place that started out with food delivery, for then later wanting to at more services to the platform.

After scaling this business from a team of 3 to 80 people in 7 months, we were not able to secure funding to continue this journey and had to fold our cards. Many lessons learned and a unique journey both in the up and down times.

Now focusing on building Berg Watches to a world renowned watch brand with association to sports brands, artist and brands. The journey has just started...
