EGM Green is the 1st company to consult, design, manufacture, and install 100% Green casino tables, gaming seating, and luxury lounge furniture.  All of our product is Made in the USA in a 100% Green factory.  I am responsible for the day to day operations, new customer aquisition, and strategic partnership development.

Leadership, Product Development, New product roll outs, key customer relationship development and management, and contract negotiation.  Developed 1st Eco-Friendly poker tables, and secured placement deals with The World Series of Poker, and Esquire Magazine, as well as many celebrity charity events.  Developed a sustainability consulting team including many leaders in their field to address sustainability from a top down approach.

Responsible for the development of the framework for the 1st ANSI developed standard addressing energy efficiency in the casino industry.  Chairman of the interdisciplinary team whose goal it is to develop an ANSI standard for sustainable slot machine development, to make these gaming machines 50% more energy efficient within 5 years.

Women are over-mentored and under-sponsored.

Men are 46% more likely than women to have a sponsor. For women of color, the gap is wider. 

Only 5% of Black women say they have access to senior leaders who advocate for their advancement.

In my own career, I had mentors but never a sponsor. I wish I had understood the importance of sponsorship earlier.

Today marks Day 6 of my 31-Day Women's History Month Curiosity Challenge. Each day, we look at a different barrier or opportunity for women to advance.

The goal of this challenge is to inspire critical thinking and real action toward equity and equality for women in the workplace.

Today, I’m focusing on sponsorships because they help close leadership gaps and ensure women, especially women of color, have advocates for their growth.

Most leaders say they support women’s advancement, but fewer are willing to put their own reputation behind it.

What if we worked to close the sponsorship gap the same way we are rethinking the pay gap?

What if leadership teams were held accountable for meeting sponsorship goals during performance reviews?

What if, instead of launching more mentorship programs, we started paying attention to who actually receives sponsorship?

What if companies tracked sponsorships the same way they track promotions?

If organizations set clear sponsorship targets for senior leaders, tracked sponsorships by gender and race, and shared annual dashboards, we could see the difference between performative progress and real change.

These real changes could turn closing the sponsorship gap from a hope into something we can measure and achieve.

What if, instead of asking women to find sponsors, we asked leaders why they haven’t chosen anyone to sponsor?

The pay gap won’t close through negotiation alone, and the leadership gap won’t close with mentorship alone.

Your legacy is already being written. It’s in the names you say right now, and the ones you don’t.
