In a technical product management role, I pioneered the use of semantic technology at Pearson, with a purpose of connecting data to provide organisational, content and customer insights. Created the strategy for linked data and formed a vision that spanned the key data that drives Pearson. 

Led a team that built the first Pearson tool to utilise semantic technology.

I was responsible for supporting the organisation with executing their transformation programmes across IT operations. 

• Managed complex contract negotiations with over 30 external vendors, creating risk assessments to identify any gaps / service exposure and realise programme objectives.

• Developed an Enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence capability on Azure Cloud architecture, supported by a data governance model. 

• Supported the Group’s GDPR programme, ensuring robust compliance with GDPR directives and overseeing multiple project workstreams to implement processes into BAU.

I was responsible for managing multiple programmes of work including application, infrastructure, network and reporting services / solutions.

• Delivered platform integration to facilitate 111 services across 16 regions, integrating 7 Ambulance services, 25 Urgent Care services, 10 GP Practices and virtual models of care. 

• Implemented a project planning and programme control using PRINCE2, complimenting an Agile-iterative delivery approach through the use of Kanban.

• Acted as a trusted business adviser to senior managers and the Board, developing the engagement strategy and delivering effective project status reporting.

• Took the leading role in selecting vendors for and implementing a 2000-port IVR telephony platform that ran some of the UKs largest charity events, including full PCI Security compliance.

• Delivered a suite of rich Internet applications for BBC and ITV event management, enabling the selection of winners from multi-platform voting (e.g. X Factor) and competitions (e.g. This Morning).  The project required the build of the cloud infrastructure, integrated to multiple SMS, Telephony, Web providers and the workflow required to select winners safely and ensure prizes were awarded correctly.

• Implemented a suite of business support systems for operational management, financial rating and reporting.

• Responsibility for operational support and training of production systems (online, telecoms, mobile) generating revenues of £150M.

With an extensive background (25+ years) in IT, project and change management, I am now bringing my technical and operational knowledge and skills to the world of Customer Success.
