○ gain first-hand experience in debriefing the PRI with clients

Prior practical experience as a trained coach, therapist or mental health professional of at least one year or 100+ billed hours of coaching is a prerequisite for attending certification.

Associate | Management Consultant

Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry

Researching the spliceosome in the group of Prof. Dr. Reinhard Lührmann. The spliceosome is a complex molecular machine involved in determining which proteins are made by our cells. It trims and joins the RNA copy of a gene, so that it can serve as a blueprint for the manufacturing of the respective protein.

► My role in this field of research
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
For my PhD thesis, I developed an in vitro system to study the composition and the shape of this molecular machine at different stages of the splicing process in the fruit fly. By comparing the results of my experiments, to the research done with yeast and human cells, this work provided important insights into the evolutionary origin of these machines.

Sanofi

As a working student intern within the R&D Metabolic Diseases of Sanofi (Aventis Pharma Deutschland at the time), supported a post-doctoral researcher in the development of a new cell culture assay to screen properties of candidates for preclinical development.

I used to think exhaustion was the price of success.
Until it nearly broke me...


This photo was taken just days before I hit rock bottom.

September 2013 - just over 12 years ago. 

I was 27, working at my dream company, running a project I had come up with myself - Spotify style. 

I absolutely LOVED the company, my colleagues, my manager, and what I was doing. 

But I had no idea how to take care of myself.

I had burned my most important budget: my own health.  😔

I was wired and tired all at once.

My body was heavy.

Severe sleeping problems.

Dizziness.

My mind was spinning.

Tension headache and light fever followed me everywhere.

I couldn't make decisions or remember stuff. 

Despite the project being a great success, days later, I couldn’t get out of bed.

I’d pushed too hard for too long. 😔

Too many years of feeling overwhelmed, anxious, doubting myself, and putting everyone else’s needs first. 

Too many years of ignoring my body’s loud and clear warning signs.

Instead, I doubled down on coffee, HIIT exercises, painkillers and a “just power through” mindset.

But eventually, burnout caught up.

It always does.

And it hit so HARD.

My recovery was long and messy, and looking back, this was 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲.

But it also changed everything for me.

As a coach, one of the most rewarding moments is when I ask my clients:

Your energy and presence are the most important resources you have as a leader. Are you taking care of yours? ✨🤸‍♀️ 


I know that you are busy bee with a LOT on your plate.

And it's so easy to just keep on running, without a stop to breathe, in order to be effective and get as many things done as possible.

I know, because this used to be me. 

With severe burnout as a result. 

Something I've worked on for the past 12 years or so is to manage my physical and mental energy. 


𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 & 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘆.

It's also something I support my amazing hard-working busy clients with 😉

Because this is not easy by yourself, for various reasons:

👉 Feeling selfish and guilty. "Who am I to take a lunch yoga class when I have a gazillion things to do at work and want to get home in time for the kids? What would others say if I prioritized myself?"

👉 The schedule is simply too packed. Every second of your week is already booked by work, meetings, activities, social stuff, kids stuff etc. Oooops, no time left for you. 🤷‍♀️

👉 You wouldn’t have a clue where to start. You have not attended your own needs and wishes since you were a teenager.


𝗦𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘀;

✅ Beliefs and patterns around people pleasing, over-achievement, perfectionism, and difficulty with saying no and setting boundaries

✅ Time & energy mgmt. Sometimes it is as concrete as them sharing their calendar with me and we find time together for their recovery, hobbies, time with a partner, family, or friends by canceling or rescheduling meetings, delegating to team members, time-blocking or simply saying no to stuff.

✅ Figuring out values and what they would love their dream career and life to look like and start acting like that was true already now.

✅ Practicing taking care of self and not just everyone else’s needs. This goes deeep for many.

✅ Learn effective strategies to improve sleep and increase rest & recovery like meditation, breathwork etc.


𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴.

My clients have more energy for everything going on in their lives and can perform better in their careers. So, taking care of your energy means that you will perform better, be happier, be more present, AND get the right things done 🥳 💪

This time of year has a special talent… it piles everything on at once 🎄🤪

 
On the outside, it’s cosy - candles, Lucia, Christmas prep, parties, mingles 🧡
 
On the inside… it feels absolutely chaotic.
 
Suddenly it’s:
 
👉 Q4 deadlines
 
👉 Performance reviews
 
👉 A calendar that leaves zero breathing space
 
👉 Daylight disappearing by 14:30
 
👉 Endless festive social events
 
You tell yourself: “I just need to make it to Christmas… THEN I’ll rest.”

 
Here’s the truth I wish I’d known back in my corporate days - if you’re already running on fumes, the festive break doesn’t magically soften things 😞
 
Because home life has its own demands:
 
Kids.
Family.
Logistics.
Pressure to make Christmas perfect.
 
Deep down, you know the festive break won’t give you real rest.


 
You might recognise the obvious signs:
 
👉 Back-to-back meetings that mysteriously expand - every “quick sync” turns into a 45-min dump of decisions.
 
👉 Overflowing inbox - approvals, feedback, “just your thoughts” before year-end.
 
👉 Waking up tired even after a full night’s sleep - like your brain never switched off.
 
👉Your calendar working against you - every spare block swallowed by Q4 tasks or social events.
 

And the quieter ones:
 
👉 Snapping at small things - an unstacked dishwasher, Slack ping, or “what’s for dinner?” triggers you.
 
👉 Social events feeling like another task - smiling on the outside but struggling to actually enjoy yourself and be present.
 
👉 Work looping in your mind during “cosy moments” - wrapping presents while running through tomorrow’s to-do list mentally.
 
👉 Running on the mantra: “𝘐’𝘭𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘢𝘴” - except December never calms down - your personal life is just as jam packed with to-do’s and your calendar stuffed.

 
This is probably happening because:
 
1️⃣ Boundaries slip under pressure - saying yes to everyone but yourself.
 
2️⃣ You put your needs last - powering through on adrenaline (and too much coffee).
 
3️⃣ You expect perfection - at work and at home.
 
4️⃣ You don’t ask for what you need - hoping others will “just get it.”
 
5️⃣ You swallow emotions until they spill over - then feel guilty for reacting.
 

I know you tell yourself “this is just how it is this time of year” - you’re not wrong.
 
But it CAN feel different. I promise 🧡
 
December doesn’t have to be a whirlwind that leaves you crashing into the holidays. 

You can protect your energy, feel present with your family, and enjoy the season.
 
Tiny, intentional shifts make a bigger difference than you think. That’s what I help women leaders create: thriving careers and present, joyful personal lives.
