I'm on a mission to make entrepreneurship more accessible.
I set up my first business at 25, and since then, I have successfully set up, grown and sold multiple companies (and had a few failures on the journey too!)
Entrepreneurship is what I love.

I’m also a micro-investor in 30 women-led businesses, a speaker, and co-host of The Fundraising Grind (a podcast about helping you get your business funded with my friend Mae Yip)

At FFR, our mission is to empower women to achieve financial freedom through entrepreneurship.  

We do that through 4 pillars:

➕ Community - we come together for connection, collaboration, and support.  Being a founder can be a lonely journey, and we want to be there for each other

➕ Funding - we've launched Cohort 4 of our fundraising accelerator - a free 8-week program to help 60+ female founders at a time on their fundraising journey

➕ Business Fundamentals - we run regular sessions and masterclasses on all things fundamental to growing a successful, sustainable business

➕ Awareness - we celebrate female founders and help them share their voices.  So far 700+ women have taken part in our personal branding challenge

We have partnered with brands like London Business School, Lloyds Bank, and Google, and hosted events for 100's of women all over the UK.  We have been featured in The Times, Sifted, and Forbes.

Why do I care?

I want the same opportunities for women entrepreneurs as their male counterparts. 
When I heard about the funding gap, I was shocked and decided I'd try and do something about it.  
In the last few years, I have found my "Why" and a great deal of joy from being around so many incredible women doing amazing things.

The first few years of our childhood are scientifically and statistically proven to influence the rest of our lives. 

That’s why we’ve created Babbu - a secret weapon for early child development. A game-changing app designed to be the ultimate home nursery guru. 

We’re bringing you playful parenting hacks that can help you get back on top of childcare, in a time where it can be a little overwhelming to know where to even start. 

Learning and growth is a basic human need and one we should all have help with. So, we’re levelling the playing field and developing the potential of all kids.

And I’m helping launch a new members club in Portugal featuring a beautiful #nursery & coworking space! 🙌🙌

When I opened Cuckooz Nest in London 8 years ago.. we were one of the first. According to Sifted less than 2% of coworking spaces in Europe offered #childcare. 

Fast forward to today, many of those spaces have closed 😢including my own. 

What is it that makes it such a difficult model to get right when on paper makes so much sense?!!

COVID sadly killed us, because it forever changed the way people worked. Trekking into Central London with a 2 year old just didn’t have the same appeal once WFH became the norm. 

But before that, one of the bigger challenges was finding great staff.

Not just qualified, but genuinely kind people who love working with little #children. 

At Cuckooz Nest we experienced a bottleneck of #families waiting to join, but not having enough staff to increase capacity. 

Today I find myself in a similar situation… qualified #earlyearseducators in Portugal are paid as little as €5/hour 🤯 so it isn’t attracting anyone to the profession…

We need to start valuing this job! Especially since caring for young children is one of the only skills #AI can’t replace!! 

The first five years set the foundations for life! There really isn’t a more important job out there than raising humans!
