Building new AI systems doesn’t start with clarity.

It starts with uncertainty you move through.

We rarely get stuck because we lack ability.  
We get stuck because we wait for certainty.

AI taught me this early.

Every useful agent we’ve built started out  
confused, incomplete, and a little chaotic.

But once you push it into the real workflow,  
the clarity emerges mid-motion, not beforehand.

Humans aren’t that different.

Here’s the truth:  
The creators you admire weren’t “ready” either.  
They just shipped the first imperfect version.

Courage doesn’t follow confidence.  
Courage generates the data that creates it.

Here’s how to build that courage in the age of AI 👇

1. Start with a small, real workflow  
Stop designing the perfect system in your head.  
Put an AI agent into one narrow task and learn fast.

2. Let go of needing perfect structure  
Systems evolve through iteration, not planning.  
Every broken piece is information.

3. Surface your blind spots  
In AI work, the gaps you avoid become the fires  
you later must put out. Expose them early.

4. Optimize for learning, not labels  
A “failed” prompt or workflow is just an early chapter.  
Your system isn’t broken, it’s becoming.

5. Stay curious under pressure  
Ego says “I should know this by now.”  
Curiosity says “What variable haven’t I checked?”

6. Surround yourself with builders  
Work with people who push for clarity,  
not people who guard their comfort.

7. Update the identity that no longer fits  
Each new level of systems thinking requires  
shedding old habits that kept you rigid.

You won’t always see the architecture upfront.  
Sometimes the design reveals itself only  
after you take the next step.

Clarity follows motion.  
Progress follows pressure.  
Courage is the input that powers both.

Keep moving.  
The system stabilizes because you build it,  
not because you waited for certainty.

At every LinkedOut gathering, there’s always a small gift.
Nothing extravagant.
Just something thoughtful.

At our last one, it was the gingerbread man.

When I choose a gift, I usually think about three things.

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻.
It should feel right for the moment. Christmas gifts should feel festive, warm and familiar.

𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁.
Not expensive, not excessive.
The value is never in the price, but in the intention.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻.
Simple. Playful. Something that makes people smile and remember the moment.

As we wrap up the year, here’s a small reminder.
A simple gesture speaks louder than words.

I’ve not played for almost six months.

As i reflect upon the year, it has mostly been on recovery mode. 

The truth is, I’ve been nursing back pain that has been building up over the years.
Nothing dramatic, just recurring issues that finally caught up with me.

I guess working at a desk for so many years eventually takes its toll.

These days my routine looks very different.
𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗼.
𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗼.
𝗜'𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝗽 𝗯𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲

There’s an old saying
“冬至大如年”
𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘇𝗵𝗶 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿.

𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘇𝗵𝗶 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿.
𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁, 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝘀.
𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻.

In many homes, people eat tangyuan not just for tradition, but to symbolise reunion and wholeness.
There’s even a saying that once you eat tangyuan, you’re a year older.

What I like most about Dongzhi is the reminder it carries.
This is not a season for forcing progress.
It’s a season for resting, reflecting, and conserving energy.

It’s Monday.
𝗔𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻, 𝗜’𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 躺平。
𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿, 躺平 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 “𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘁”.
It’s often described as giving up, opting out, or doing the bare minimum.


𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗜 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 躺平 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.
Sometimes, it’s exhaustion.
Sometimes, it’s burnout.
Sometimes, it’s people quietly saying, “I can’t keep sprinting anymore.”

We live in a world that celebrates hustle.
But not every season of life is meant for pushing.
Some seasons are for resting.
For recovering.
For recalibrating.


𝗦𝗼 𝗶𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝘆, 𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗹𝘆.
Rest if you need to.
Pause if you must.
