You saw 3 safe paths. There were 12 game-changers.
→ You didn't explore adjacent industries
→ You didn't consider hybrid roles that don't exist yet
→ You never asked what would happen if you created your own

Most people choose from the menu. Winners design the restaurant.

These 3 behaviors do:

You're "gathering more information" for the 47th time.

Treat it like data. Not a verdict. Not a debate.

Ask their manager what the gap is between them and the next level. Close it.

Document their impact in dollars. Schedule the conversation next month.

Take on the projects that lead to the role they actually want.

Build relationships with decision-makers now, not when they need them.
