Working in EVRY Latvia my focus shifted towards business development and general management.  I accepted challenge to build a new company within short time from scratch. This assignment included starting business in the industry that is in high demand for specialists – Nordic speaking and IT. Delivering good service, building professional leadership team, setting up support functions of the company, the same time following the groups strategy and changes of the delivery model, assuring proper culture in the company are just some of the challenges we have faced. Never the less we were successful in our journey and realized business case as intended – nearshoring 150 workplaces from Nordics to Riga.

Tieto

I joined Tieto as a Finance manager for Group Finance transformation project. The Transformation resulted in near-shored 180 workplaces, standardized end-to-end processes (Purchase-to-Pay, Orders-to-Cash and Record-to-Report )and automated elements of them. International collaboration and team work was part of the job. Target regions were Northern, Eastern and Central Europe with 15 countries in the scope. The project was led and consulted by Hackett Group.  Tieto way was the best practice way.

After transformation I was responsible for providing Record-to-report services to more than 25 operating units in Tieto group. On-boarding of new operating units for the services was part of my duties. There have been also several mergers of group companies where we did part of accompanying finance work.  High quality of service provided, satisfied internal customers and engaged employees were top priorities. I also led several projects on Tieto group level for Finance function improvements and data quality improvements.

In PWC my focus was on audit of financial statements. Overall I have accomplished around eighty assurance projects in various industries including Banking and Finance, Oil and gas, Telecommunications, IT, Logistics, Retail and some other.

My work involved evaluation of business and finance processes, risks identification. Further on it was planning, organizing assurance assignments and leading multiple audit teams.  I was also senior auditor in fieldwork for complex, high risk areas.
  
My specialization was International Financial Reporting Standards framework and audit of credit institutions – banks, lease companies, pension funds. I qualified as ACCA member while worked in PWC.
