I spent over a decade as a frontline social worker, at hospice, ER nights, home health, hospitals. Three states, countless rounds, endless systems. I saw the same pattern everywhere: social care kept patients alive, but in boardrooms it barely showed up as a footnote.

While working night shifts, I studied healthcare finance on my breaks and started writing online about the ROI of social work.
